Lost gems value due to d/c

Earlier today during the Cerberus fight, I decided to dump gems for 100% buff (30 gems if I'm not mistaken) and I was running a close race for 3rd place when I got disconnected (during the patch I guess) and I was getting about 28-30 rep per hit on average.
I was unable to get back in for about 20 minutes and the battle was over. I didn't see any credit increase, nor rep increase. So I virtually wasted 3 bucks on that battle with nothing to show for it.

I should at least get my gems back (especially since it most likely cost me 3rd place or better rewards)

Instances like this are the reason people quit playing games like this.
