I've evaluated my setup, I've changed my setup, my formation, my runes *Note at this stage I probably have the highest bank of legendary runes on any server totalling at 51 (25 in use, 26 in storage)*, nothing can be done at this stage to defeat this boss. So tell me, if we aren't supposed to be able to beat the boss, why are there level requirements for each quest? You're going to see people stuck in the main questline for months at a time, who won't play anymore. I don't know many people who have the patience to sit there and play pirates, cerb/baal and limited time on other parts of the game when they could be questing and bettering their characters.
The servers would never last years at a time for most people, guaged by other games (albeit games that are very dissimiliar). The need for new challenges will lead people to newer servers to fight different people. It would make more sense to tone things down, so that the questline is attainable in a matter of a couple of months, and then those who wish to stay on the server after all the others leave for new servers, can spend that time battling it out with each other and completeing whatever expansions (and I'm assuming there will be expansions onto the questline) come about.
