Dev team, please note.
I have just passed up on Rhize and Smoulder cards in the fair because 1830 gems is too costly to get dud buffs like so many others have been getting all over the forums. I can guarantee that I would have made another deposit today, putting me on VIP 7, if there wasn't a chance of that happening. Luck is all well and good and a chance for any of the other saint buffs which are less desirable or weaker is fine but getting a totally worthless one is too much of a gamble. I am sure that if you make small changes like fixing saint buffs and have a little less control over tavern you would be making a lot more money. More people would use fair and buy chests for rare heroes. Try be creative in your rigging, dish out more rare heroes and cards when people are lower on credits or put up more 3x heroes on a page so people spend gems to get a guaranteed 3 turn hero. It's not rocket science, it's human nature, use it to your advantage and you'll have a more successful, more appealing game at the same time.

i heard i heard ... devs don't read / consider this. Blame me for the luck.

Tavern is all about luck. Every player goes through a dry period when the Tavern gives them absolutely zilch. Then before you know it, it's raining cards.
As for the Fair. A savvy player would save their Tavern Spirits or keep their fingers crossed. Buying cards at the Fair is optional and if you don't want to purchase them, you don't have to.

The tavern is NOT about luck, luck is a random occurrence. the chance of coming down next to the main prize 9999 out of 10000 is not random, and therefore 'luck' is not involved but bad programming or people with contempt for their customers who think it will encourage people as they 'nearly' got it last time. so it may be many things, but not luck. It has obviously been programmed to pay out 1 in so many times - the number probably being increasd for every server, whic is fine, its your game, we buy it or don't. but the positioning of the other cards is an insult to our intelligence

luck is random, if it was pure luck, 20% of the time you would get the top hero. and the gold and purple heroes would come out more frequently. The only luck element, is if you try it at the time they chose to pay out, that is luck, the rest is pre-ordained. Simple maths probability theory would prove it very easily. They truly on people who get an occasional good run to keep trying. it is as random as slot machines. have you ever seen a poor slot machine owner?
