Dear Tynon,
I have to tell u that i agree with Kyleena there 100% the new patch just make its all wrong not seeing the baal or cerb HP so your heros in going in BLIND not knowing if u can kill it.
So all the hard work in trying to race to get the last kill is dead now BECOUSE YOU CAN NOT SEE HES HP.
So its now base on luck.
So i guess the only good thing there is top 3 for the prize couse now racing for the 10 mill coin last hit was just crush out the window.
:(
This will be an even divide down the middle. The ones who hate it are the ones who always get last hit. The ones who love it are the ones who don't. One good thing is that the ones who never help with baal/cerb and just camp for last hit will be thrown into it randomly like everyone else :) IMO the only skill you need for final hit is knowing when to hit.
Although I can understand Kyleena's and TG's ire, I agree with Tynon this is much fairer. In my realm on server 4, a small player got the last hit and we all congratulated her.
Everyone who takes part should have a chance of claiming the 10,000k coin reward, rather than the biggest hitters.
I would at least like to try this out. I see over and over again, much of the same people getting last hit because they can inflict more damage and for longer periods of time.
Would love to give this a go and see how it ends.
My thing is not so much worrying about who gets last hit so much as not being able to see if you are ahead or behind the curve in killing him. We have had a few times where some of us gemmed the last few rounds to make sure we were able to kill him because for whatever reason we were light on participation that day. If you can't see how much you have left to go, you run the risk of not being able to kill him and reverting back to a smaller boss. You lose a lot of rep when that happens.
Well when baal and cerb go in RAGE MODE for the random kill u CAN NOT stun him or ambush the only thing u have is calvin to take hes skill bar down.
So that means u CAN NOT HIT him that hard when hes in RAGE MODE.
LMAO funny but o well
Best of luck now couse thats what it is if u lucky u get the random kill guys and theres no way of knowing couse u cant see hes HP and its not base on getting even for all player to get a chance and get last hit its base on if u lucky to get that hit becouse u going in blind !!
why would you gem just for a shot at 10K coins? you can buy them way cheeper
Putting everyone back at square one and making it random is ridiculous with hidden health. This is one of the parts of the game where skill is involved. I have 3 vips on 3 servers and you just lost my business tynon. I am seeing less and less vips now also so I know you are not making what you used to since you pissed all the money players off.
P.S the 3 realms per server is a terrible idea too. I am in the 2nd ranked guild in water realm on 41 and literally 90% of the guild has not logged since the first day it opened. On 12 there are 2 good guilds and the rest are empty or nearly dead. Tynon has killed what could have been a good game.
This was probably implemented because the same players were getting the last hit on Baal/Cerb time and time again. I suspect the original intention was that random players take down WBs to win the 10,000k reward. It didn't take players long, however to work out that watching the Health Bar and time their approach to inflict the killing blow.
The skill in WBs come from formation and runes. Not how well you can time the last hit. That said however, when players get used to it the furore will calm down, it always does.
That will down a chance to get last hit from strong player and give more chance last hit for week player, good improvement but need opent lv 70-80 map....
Worst improvement ever, may be time to contact paypal. This is not the game I paid to play
Morgan, how should timing your hit not be considered part of the skill set that should be involved in the killing blow? There are many variables that go into HOW you time your attack. Now its completely random. Not to mention when his health disappeared today for Forest Realm, server 1, there was only 618K left, between my guild alone we would have taken out his remaining health with the hits we had, but yet he kept on kicking until there was less then 15sec left on revive. This means that his health when it goes dark is not the health he has left, so its some arbitrary number that no one knows. Again, how is this even close to an improvement? And why is the company pandering to players who whine because they can't get the last hit?
People complain that it is near impossible for non-coiners to compete with coiners and then when they try to level the playing field a little people complain about that.
I was a non-coiner until 2 weeks ago and had no problem competing. In fact, I won more final hits before I was gifted my $5 VIP1 by my guildies. This change does not level the playing field, it takes the entire playing field away and gives you a lottery ticket.
This would be like hiding the final 3 rows of tiles in the lab and saying that getting to the end is all up to chance, its plain silly.
There seems to be 2 things changed in Baal warfare:
1. eliminating ability to time the hits during the last 1M of Baal life. I like this change because it introduce more randomness and gives smaller players greater chance of getting the prize. If this drives greater participation in Baal event, everyone will benefit in the long term.
2. change Baal warfare itself by randomly eliminating some hero capabilities (stunning), while leaving other capabilities unchanged. This was not well thought out and makes no sense at all. It forces players to struggle to change the combo at the last second. This is just a very bad game experience.
My proposal:
1. keep the auto hit during the last portion of Baal live. Or, if you like, run Baal on auto for the whole hour.
2. keep Baal attack during last 1M the same as normal Baal attack. There is no need to screw this up.
Well kyleena I agree with you lets all call paypal and see if that gets their attention. I hate this change, i hate the arena change, and noone really cares about the map change. Stop changing the rules of a live game. If they wanted to fine tune things that should have been done before it went live, not after
This is ridiculous plenty of non coiners got last hit, they just used skill. It was about skill, and those who worked hard to do 2m damage in a round.
The only people I see in this thread complaining, are the ones who regularly enjoyed the 10,000k payout.
Take me today, I got the final hit on Baal before the "rage" sequence. I didn't win the reward it went to a smaller player and you know what? I thought that was awesome. Why should the top players get everything. Every day there are people complaining that they can't achieve anything because the big spenders/players have it all. Something has been done to spice the game up a bit giving everyone a fair chance and now some are moaning because they aren't getting an easy ride anymore.
Saying one game does this so Tynon should, is a bit like comparing stores. Both stores might sell the same basic product, however they might sell different brands. Games like Tynon all might be similar but each has their unique gameplay.
EDIT: I've merged this thread with the one Kyleena started in the beta forum, since this isn't just a beta patch and clearly it's one players want to discuss.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am complaining very loudly and only got final hit ONCE!
Kyleena is allowed to complain, she deserves to get the final hit, she is the best player in her realm - and she didn't get to be the best by just spending.
I would rather they just do away with final hit altogether now. ITS A WASTE OF TIME TO BE STUCK IN THE FINAL BATTLE SCREEN
I didnt get to see the final battle
I lost out on at least one if not 2 rounds of fighting because of it so I lost rep coins and credits.
I HATE THIS CHANGE! UNDO IT
That thought right there is the root of the frustration. Why should it be spiced up by making it completely up to chance? Thats not spice, thats stupidity. And as I have said, winning last hit is about a lot more then the "big spenders," so lets drop that argument. Sure people complain about the coiners getting an unfair advantage, but thats because they are jealous of their power. Last hit has never been solely about power. Sure it helps, but there was a lot more to it then that, and it was very easy for people not even in the top 10 to get if they new what they were doing.
And for the record, last hit never was an easy ride. And do you have any idea how little 10mil buys for people after a certain level? Its hard enough to get coins enough to upgrade runes, and now it has become even harder.
And the fact that you as a Mod are belittling our legitimate concerns as "moaning" is unprofessional and uncalled for. I understand you don't work for the company, but as a Mod you do have authority, and therefore should attempt to be unbiased. If you wish to criticize our concerns, perhaps you should give up the Mod role.
I agree unfortunatley most people who play this game are clueless it appears and complain and complain until Tynon nerfs the game further and further until its no different then a crappy fb game.
STOP CHANGING THE RULES OF A GAME AFTER ITS LIVE
FIX THE BUGS
ie -point D does not heal
level 5 city buff
clouds on screen
heroic realms dont load properly all the time
disconnect while in rune temple
fights lock up in Heavens Palace and you lose out on your card flip
I THINK THERE ARE ENOUGH ACTUALLY FIXES NEEDED THAT YOU DONT NEED TO WASTE TIME FIXING SOMETHING THAT WAS NEVER BROKE
Agreed, the MODS are being too biased in the threads, and morgana isn't the only one.
I got an idea how about we have Moderator roulette. It will be just like the 10m coins. When you log into forums you sit there and wait 2 mins for nothing and some random person is appointed as a moderator.
Oh wait that wouldnt be fair because the MODS have volunteered to be mods, and have worked as being mods and deserve to be mods.
Kind of like how some people have paid for tehir power, and worked for tehir power in the game and studied the game mechanics to use their skills and knowledge to get final hit on the world boss,
I've actually won the final hit at least 4 times, but who's counting.
Everyone is allowed to their opinion, I never said she couldn't complain. All I said it was the ones who regularly got the 10,000k reward were moaning the loudest.
I agree about the use if heroes, runes and power. However, the top 10 players gain extra rewards for being placed in the top 10. The top 3 get equipment plans as bonuses. If you are a small player you don't stand a chance of gaining any of these, so the random chance of hitting the WB gives them more of an incentive to join in. Wasn't too long ago players were complaining not enough people were taking part in these events.
Incidentally I referred to big spenders/players, rather than just big spenders alone. You don't need to spend vast amount of $$ to do well in this game.
This game is not based on Wartune or any other game. We always intended for a random player to be able to take the boss, however the precise reporting of his health made it possible for high level players to time their attacks to get the kill reliably, leaving other players with no chance whatsoever. The random element was largely gone. This change intends to fix that, and it looks like it has.
This is indeed the same game. I understand that not everyone will like every game but at no time have we ever indicated that the game would stop changing. This is the same with any game in the MMO space. No game stays the same forever, or even for very long. That's not a reasonable expectation to have.
In fact, our promise and our commitment is that the game will continue to change to keep pace with our players. We'll keep adding new content, adding new activities and meeting the needs of our players. It will never stop as long as we're here! We look at Tynon not as just a product, but as a service, and we're going to keep moving forward. We hope you'll stay with us, but if you choose to leave, don't let it be because you didn't know things would be changing!
NO IT HAS NOT
EVERYONE HAD AN EQUAL CHANCE BEFORE. It was in fact the bigger players that made it random. When a player can average 750k hits and someone is trying to stalk the final hit and that player gets a 2M hit suddenly throws the calculations of those stalkers off. I have seen plenty of "small" and non coiners get final hit the old way. It was a challenge to try and get it and there was plenty of randomness
That is a load of business speak. Where are these things ever posted before the fact. NO where have I seen the INTENTION of the designers for how things will work. In fact they do all they can to ignore questions , to explain game mechanics and I have even seen out right deception by some in the forum. We keep asking questions that go unanswered forever. SO if you want to say this is the way WE INTENDED IT TO BE. Take 10 mins and post HOW THE GAME IS SUPPOSE TO BE ACCORDING TO THE DEVELOPERS.
STOP FIXING THINGS THAT WE LIKED AND FIX WHAT IS BROKE
The change with the Cerb/Baal boss is good. If the developers ORIGINAL intention was to give the 10M randomly, as runes are given randomly and Tavern results are quite random except for certain VIP players who spend gems to flip more cards, then this is simply being consistent with the way the game runs. The way it worked for the longest time was the #1 or #2 player always got the final blow. 95% of the time is "always" - don't give me that crap about "everyone has a chance"... that is a bunch of bull at this point of the game. Early on, perhaps... Now? Heck no! It's quite obvious that the only ones complaining about this change are the people who rank top 3 in the Boss events. The top player in this that is complaining here the most gets over 13M in gold from the damage done to baal or cerb each time. That is 26 Mil gold coins per day. Does that 10M each event have to be yours each time as well? Are you really THAT greedy? What is wrong with a little random in this so that the wealth is spread out?
And the comments about skill and such? What skill is there in camping out waiting to hit when the numbers are low? And what skill is there in spending 2 or 4 or however many gems on that last "instant revive" click? It's the same as the glitch that existed with the Noble Lady - timing her disappearance to click on her to get the maximum benefit prior to anyone else. Make it random and keep it that way. If you don't like it, then don't participate in those events. I don't like Pirates so I don't participate in that at all. I sure don't like supplementing the mega-coiner's map needs and I get what I need from guild wars in terms of those 10 points I don't get making a sail.
And Dawnseeker has a great comment to make to those of you who are howling the most - if you don't like it don't the door hit you on the way out! If you don't like it, don't participate! Yeah right, I know you'll be there to collect your rewards LOL! Now of course I have some harsh words about something else in the game - but not on this. And even on that other stuff, I have my own fix for it. I won't participate in those things that I do not like. That won't stop me from enjoying the parts of this game that I do like but it will decrease the time I spend playing.
And Matt and Kyleena? Who made you judge, jury and executioner? (well executioners probably LOL!) Who are you to judge who did and who did not put effort, time and care into their game? In fact, coiners put less effort into their game. Those who coin less or not at all have to work much harder in order to do better in this game.
Oh please - I saw plenty for non coiners win final hit, which is a testament to how well they played, but why should someone who logs in and does not try get the last hit. That can now happen. You could literally create 50 alt accts and just log them in for realm boss now to minimize the chances of others from getting the final hit.
And now that it is TOTALLY RANDOM who is to say the same people wont randomly get it over and over and over. Just like some people totally randomly get next to no legendary heroes in the tavern or no yellow runes in the temple while others get plenty. You know that total randomness (runes and tavern) in the game draws lots of ire and complaints in the forums, now that something else is totally random - total randomness is a good thing? Please!
This change is horrible and ruins the game experience for all. Just like almost every single change to teh game mechanics has done to this game. This entire patch is horrible. There's not 1 thing about it I like. In fact it is so bad I am thinking of quitting because it is ruining the game.
And yes Kyleena and I get to be judge because its our game that is effected, just like its your and everyone else's - so we all get to be judge and jury and executioner on this matter. And by my count there are more people disliking this change then who like it.
And this is where Morgan steps in to remind everyone that passion is good but the bashing needs to stop.
Play nicely guys otherwise I'm closing this thread.
Great patch, the "moaners" will always moan when something they depend on daily gets taken away from them.I agree with Vato.
Just finished cerberus and seemed a bit like a lottery to me. Probably one of the fairest ways to do it.
It's a Game and one game that I have seen more childish acting/talking (like in realm chat) than any game I have ever played. I may be different than most players because I come to these games to meet people and have an enjoyable gaming experience no matter how the game is designed. If I don't enjoy the game I simply don't log in anymore. Maybe just what I am feeling but people are acting like every attack is personal and that the player just did a real life drive by shooting at their real life house. Aren't we all here for the same reason? We enjoy on line gaming? Some of the things said in this thread are disturbing. What is going on, 99% of us don't know the person in real life we are bashing. As far as the changes go in Baal/Cerebus...I have 3 choices...make an adult response to the changes in the forum, accept the changes and continue playing or don't accept the changes and quit the game. But I won't, no matter what I choose to do, come into the forum and and act like this game was meant only for me or bash my fellow gamer because I don't like their opinion. Let's enjoy our gaming together and work together as adults to get changes done that most of us would like to see changed. Luv you all..see you in the wild :)
I'm a bit confused reading back since my last post. How is everyone seeing this as "fair"? Are you referring to everyone having an equal chance to get the reward, regardless of the time, energy, and knowledge they have put into the game? That, to me, is the opposite of fair.
Also, as VatoLoco said, many people simply camped out and prayed that damage would get low enough for them to hit. These are the players that tried to call me out for "cheating" because I was able to better monitor my damage and knew when I could hit to ensure i got last hit. For one week, out of the 14 events, I took at least 5 of those last hits. I can guarantee you that I was no where near the top ranked player anywhere. I put the extra time and effort in, and I see no problem with being justly rewarded. But what many people fail to distinguish between is the people "camping" and those that have legitmate systems in order to get last hit. Did everyone have an equal chance? No of course they didn't, because if it was a game of wild chance no one would attempt to understand it better then others in order to profit from it.
I can understand wanting to make the chance of getting the last hit more difficult, but I do not believe this way is equitable in any way. Some people will argue that there was no skill or strategy involved in last hit and that it was only about who had the larger stick, although I disagree, I'll go with it for this. People can only be 100% sure of last hit IF they can see the health meter, so you took it away, again I don't agree but I'll go with it. The issue I see is that regardless of your skill level or knowledge now, with the forced restart and imaginary health left, if is a complete lottery, and I hope that isn't what the developers wanted.
Not everyone sees it from your point of view. You have your opinion but others may see it from another side.
Yes Morgan I understand that, but why would a company pander to the casual players over their hardcore gamer base who have invested much more time into this game, not to mention money, then the people that these changes benefit overwhelmingly? This is the issue I can't wrap my head around. Nor the fact that some people are claiming "fair" means everyone, regardless of kill or anything else, should have a equal shot at last hit...that in no definition of fair makes sense. People invest into this game to have an edge, not a level playing field. There are plenty of playing field leveling elements in this game already.
And I 100% understand that if these changes really upset me the way they have, then I am welcome to leave, and I very well may. Before i give up though, I will push hard to retain the game-style I have invested so much of my time and effort into. I also don't understand from a business stand point why a company would stand by a decision that alienates so many players, and paying players at that. Are the paying customers that disposable to the company? If so, then I, as a non paying player, feel even less valued and more inclined to leave.
It's a game for everyone not just the hardcore.
I completely get your comments about working at your account and making yourself strong is hard work. I doubt that anyone would disagree with you. However, it doesn't matter what level you're at you are still a player who deserves the chance to enjoy the game and become stronger themselves. It can be disheartening for the newbies to watch the big guys reap the rewards all the time. So this patch has given them the chance to win something.
New players mean the game will be kept alive and grow for everyone's benefit. Pandering to the elite only discourages new players, something I'm sure none of us want .
100% agree Morgan.
This is where I have issue and don't understand the logic. When we all started, we all had the same benefits to grow, and all had/have the option to pay to grow quicker. The company herds new people into their new servers, so not too many end up on older servers. This is part of the appeal of a new server, however if someone desires to start on an existing server or wishes to get better, then they should invest more time and effort into getting better, not by shear luck. There are many places where newb/lower level accounts have an advantage: farming and tavern being the two most important. People should grow from dedication, but I guess not everyone agrees with that.
No, we wouldn't but why try to be the best if you are being forced into games of chance?
Okay, I understand all the changes and Tynon "thinks" this is being fair for the new players. But is it "our" fault they are just starting when we have been going for what 2-3 months now. Yes, some are going to be way more powerful than the newbie as they have been playing alot longer. Why give a new player the benefits of getting stronger quicker when we (beta players) didn't get that luxury. We had to work our butts off to gain our power, to gain our runes to get where we are today. It's competition. If you want to be the best, then BEAT the best. It should make you want to work harder and devote that much more time to playing JUST to be able to beat that one person or that one Boss. Not take away from those that have been working to build their accounts for the past few months and making it where some random joe-shmoe who starts baal the last 30 seconds wins it. I don't win the 10mil that often, I think I have won it maybe once. I'm not huge in power, I'm average. But it is the competition that drives me, not who wins what, who gets what, what level they are. It's skill. It's knowledge. Period. All in all this is just my opinion.
Sorry couldnt disagree with you more. NEW PLAYERS usually go to NEW SERVERS. Not to serves 1-10 for the most part. SO how does this help new people to a server thats been running for a while. It doesn't because the new people are going to new servers and its only a very rare case where a new account is created on an established server. SO the fair to the newbies argument is invalid.
So maybe we should all band together and boycott the realm boss until they undo all these changes. If enough of the top 10-15 players in each realm stop playing the realm event, the 250m hp balls will be back to 10m in 3 days or so. And everyone will suffer. And all will suffer equally and that will be fair. Server 1 pink or mail me if you want to get together and organize this server wide boycott
