Does anybody know when the statues/formations are locked in for HP?
Formations are set at cerberus on friday
Is that same with the arena rankings?
Is this confirmed information? I struggle to believe it is at cerb time because you rarely see people using adamanti, rhize and smoulder during banish events but they show up frequently in palace.
I have a hunch its like an hour after cerb but I'm not really sure sorry :(
I don't know the exact time it actually happens, but it would be best if it happened after Baal since many players I know don't swap back to PvP formation until after both World Bosses are dead for the day (since it can be a pain to swap to World Boss formation to begin with).
We will have a better idea tomorrow. I changed my formation before Cerb and then again after Cerb started and again before Cerb went into last hit mode and finally stepped down from 2nd place about 5 minutes after Cerb.
Confirmed - Power and formation at the time of claiming the rank one or two spots in arena dictate the statue power and nothing else. Ranks as at reset carry over.
Timing is either an hour before server reset or at reset.

In the last two weeks, not including this one. I have verified that the formation is the one that is used for WB (not sure if Cerb or Baal) when in 'last hit' mode. Before that we had verified that the snapshot for who (not necessarily the formation) happened after Guild Wars. I am waiting for the two people on my Guild that are in this week to check the formations do see if we can get closer. They changed formations several times Yesterday.

We have several examples that definitely prove to us that it is the formation with which you take the rank and that the time it is taken is not before 11pm server time.
This has been tested on server 8 and server 14 with 5 different players from different realms. It is conclusive for these two servers at this moment :).
But with tynon you never know anything will stay the same haha. ^^
It looks like last weekend in server 7 the formation was taken sometime between 9:40 and 10 AM so that is consistent with what you have found. But it also looks like who ends up in HP is not determined at that time since I was in 2nd place until about 10 minutes after Cerb and did not end up in HP.
Well, for us it is conclusive; They take the formation with which you take the rank. No doubt about it anymore. Time frame seems to be before 11pm server time, but to be safe before 6 server time seems good enough.
WHen you have taken the rank, you can get back to full formation, however, if someone attacks you and loses, the rankformation is still reset. This means the rank will now be saved with full formation when this happens.
The server must recalculate the ranks taken when you are attacked and thus a full formation can be registered in such case.

What do you mean by "Take the rank"? you mean if you are 3rd and attack 2nd and win then what ever formation you are in then is what formation you will be in heavens palace?
ANd the time frame they capture the top 2 ranks is no later then 11pm server time but as early as 6pm?
Yes, the formation you have when you take spot 1 or 2 is the one registered for heaven palace. They will take the last formation registered.
The registered formations are taken before 11 pm server time, but might be a little earlier. We have done switches in the realm before this time and still got it right.
After this time it failed to change for heaven palace. To be safe it is probably best to change either after cerb or baal.

Now what time do the decide who is 1st and 2nd?
It seems to be before 11pm server time. But it is still undefinite. I have seen changes up to 10.30 pm server time be taken into heaven palace. I have also seen that a change after 11.15 didn't make it to palace.
To be safe though and take in account that not everyone is online at every moment of the day a good point to do it is after events where many are present such as cerb, baal or gw.
That is not true in Server 7, at least not for people that had been 1st and 2nd for a while. 3 weeks ago I had been on 2nd for 10 days or so and the formation that I had in HP was the one that I used for the WB 'last hit' mode and the same was true for the one in 1st in my realm. We are still trying to figuring out how it works. It may be that what you are saying applies to people that move to 1st and 2nd on Friday or something like that.Quote:
