??? What server are you on. N such mail here... and could use free stars to make up for lost runes, coin, gems and more from this lovely game glitch that has been going on all week. O.o
Another thing. When they said "Gem cost" I thought that means the gems were what would be refunded. But then under the option to buy medals, it say that MEDALS will be refunded. What the hell? And this was not there from the start when I used my gems to buy those medals.

It says pretty clearly in beta that the gems used to purchase the medals will be refunded, but typo's and grammar errors are widespread in Tynon. I'm thinking, rather hoping, that their intention is to refund the gems used to buy blue and purple medals. So, In theory you can purchase 50 blue medals each friday and use and reuse them over and over again until you reach the desired result. The chances of a player having the will power to keep those 500 or whatever amount of gems sitting there the other 6 days of the week are really very slim, so I'm betting more people than not will be purchasing more gems each friday. Only a small fraction of very patient and strong willed players will take absolute advantage of this, in my opinion. Either way it rolls out, It's a great change for all types of players. Kudos.
The gems that you use to purchase stars on Saturday will be refunded but this will really only benefit people who win gems or used the ones they purchased sparingly since you cannot buy gems on the beta server since it went live.Quote:

I used over 200 gems on stars because the wording stated we would be refunded. I know others who spent more.
I had no extra slots for stars beyond purchased amount. I had to drop stuff to buy the 21 stars I bought.
We cannot buy gems in beta, so the false advertising caused many to lose irreplaceable gems!

Would never have spend 10 gems per star otherwise! Cannot believe I was soooooo gullible to trust such a bogus offer.
I spent 340 Gems due to the miss wording of the email. I WOULD have purchased NO Stars had I known I was just going to get 34 stars on Saturday !!!! I am Glad dawn the u will correct the message for live but it really screwed up us on beta that sepnt very hard to come by gems with the hope we would get those rare gems back the nect day. Take the 34 sytars u gave me and give back the much needed 340 hems I lost due to this totally miss worded email. We have no way to purchase any more gems and they are really hard to come buy for weapon slot upgrades, ETC. Heck I would not mind a server roll back to get the gems back. This is totally wrong and should be fixed. I would have not spent 1 gem if I had known this was the case let alone the 340 gems I spent.

They did this on purpose, but knowing tynon I made sure I only spent 40 gems. Not too long after that I saw under the option to buy that only the medals would be refunded and not the gems.Quote:

The Dialogue in the Weekly Events icon window needs to be corrected to show "Star medals used on Fridays will be refunded on Saturday" rather than "Gem cost of star medals purchased on Friday will be refunded on Friday" as the later is clearly not the case. The gem cost is not refunded.
People call Medals *Stars* way too often. I understand what your saying, but if you send in a ticket like ^ that... You may not get the help you want.Quote:

I think it would not be so far fetched that the reason it was worded incorrectly was because of the language barrier between the people who are operating this game and the majority language that people who play this game speak/understand.
I think the wording was incorrect on accident. Since it is the Beta Server where things are being tested it should be expected that there will be issues. It is a Beta Server, it is to be expected.
There have been many instances where a communication was sent out that did not make sense only for it to be revised a week later with the correct meaning/intention.
To all those who lost gems attempting to take advantage of this deal, I'm sorry that happened to you, but it is time to move forward from this. It's basically a BOGO sale. Who doesn't love a good BOGO sale :D? (Buy One Get One)
Anytime Tynon says you will get gems refunded you should immediately suspect something is not right. I bought two medals just to see, figuring that I would never see those gems again. It was as I expected. Like they say. It's beta. It's supposed to be the place where all the mistakes are made and fixed before live. I'm sorry you blew through 200 gems but that was just a bad decision on your part.
OK. I am totally confused now. I know that you do not get the gems that you spent buying the medals bit I still do not understand how it works.
- If the star upgrade works do you get back the medals used (I assume yes, but with Tynon I have learned not to make assumptions)?
- If the star upgrade fails do you get back the medals used?
- And just to be safe, if a star upgrade fails and you loose a star and then try again and get it back do you get the medals used to get it back?
