Maybe just me but it seems everytime I shuffle for a hero in purple or gold they move to the spot just right next to it.

It's not rigged, Heaven Tavern is literally a huge game of chance. Take 5 peices of paper and write 1 random word on one of them. Fold them up equally and the same put them in a cup and pull one out. Your chances of pulling the slip of paper you wrote on is 1 in 5 and they all look the same so you can't be sure if you will draw the one you expect. Purchasing VIP Status does not increase your chances of getting a better hero either.
It's all luck, guess the question you should ask yourself is... "Do you feel lucky? ... Well?.... Do you?..... Punk"
I have also found that every time I find a legendary hero in the tavern it always seems to be either to the left or right of the card I choose after the shuffle. I've wrongly chosen too many cards for it to be just luck in my opinion. But it obviously doesn't happen to everyone.
I personally believe that you should just find a consistent means of picking a card.
Ex. Always picking the card to the left of where the card you want was before they were shuffled.
same happens to me everytime now and i can flip 2 cards using gems but aint working so i am gonna be happy with what i have knowing i will never get the gold ones :D
For a while I tried following the cards (like counting cards) so I could try and pick the one that was the epic hero.... it just resulted in me freaking my cat out because I started cussing and throwing things. After a few attempts with that method I just gave up. I suppose I am slightly satisfied with what I have now but you won't hear me complain if I get one of them golden heroes :D
Lets be honest, something is fishy about that tavern, i had 1 yellow and 3 purple two times in a row and guess which one i picked each time and that's just two examples out of dozens so im pretty sure they are doing something...
*Bumped from another Thread*
The hero tavern is a waste of time. it is only set up to take your credits, so you buy gems, and spend them in the Fair trying to get more credits. I took some data concerning the Hero Tavern to prove that it is set up for failure. I clicked refresh until i get a purple hero. So i tool these notes. I selected a random card, not the one the hero was original at before I clicked shuffle. 50 times in a row, the hero did not move. Stayed in the same spot., So the did the next test, 30 times I got a purple hero i selected the same card, where the hero originally was, and guess what, he moved one spot left or right, but was never in the same spot as the previous 30. Rigged, I think so. Them are not Odds at all. I myself will not be playing this game when it goes live. Its a waste of time for me to even play the beta, when it is set up for failure. Im sure they will say it based on Odds, but I don't think there is any, when you shuffle cards and the hero don't move for 50 times in a row, then your next 30, he moves every time. Crappy setup.
not every one is ment to have lvl 6 saints and be overpowered where would the fun be in that. Its like the wheel in evony and u will most of the time get crap . surely by now most ppl know this and will do tarven when they have spare credits or gems to burn
hello chuck
Please not that theres a thread about hero tavern made u can post yout concerns there no neeed to keep making the same thread again thank you
I have spent over a billion credits refreshing an still only get white hero's even if there are only 1 white guy to select so yes its rigged the odds are stacked in the games favor completely it's a good thing they changed Calvin to a purple hero or I would;d have none
The tavern is not rigged. Nor does it matter which card you select. As soon as the cards are laid out, you will receive one of them at random. VIP status can let you buy an extra pick, but that is also random.
The tavern is like a slot machine,as the game is,to take your money.
Rigged
Well your right. It is not random. It just appears to be random.
It is impossible to have truly random numbers.
Computers just tend to have incredibly long formulas that swap variables based on the current time on your computer.
Since computers can only do what you tell them, telling them to be random is not possible. But it is possible to just make them incredibly hard to predict.
Does that mean the odds are stacked against you? Well, they are, but this isn't why.
Odds are the formula is as random as it can possibly be. Of course the initial matter of getting the hero to even show up may very well be "rigged" (in that better heroes have worse of a "drop" rate), but after that it's all up to the formula and which card you pick.
It is my firm belief that the card games are predetermined and not a 1 in 5 chance to pick "the winner". The heroes in the tavern are prepicked for you much like the wheel on Evony, the prize is determined the instant you press play, not when you pick a card and not went the wheel "winds down".
I have invested quite an effort to getting the heroes, and I have noticed that no matter where I click the hero that I want is on either side of where I selected, only on the second selection. I noticed this when my first choice is not on target and my second selection as I am a VIP3, the purple or gold hero is right next to my second selection. Never near my first selection. (hope this makes sense)
highest card i ever recruited from the tavern = blue. (tell me the tavern ain't rigged!) ive seen people win as soon as they buy a credit chest (maybe thats the secret to getting good heroes?) for sure I can tell you I have no luck. (and i think the real shuffle happens when you select a card)
Cmon, let's be real.
It's never a 1 in 5 chance :P That's just graphics.
Each hero has a corresponding chance to be drawn. And that's the chance applied whenever you click on "shuffle".
Through the end of beta and 2 more servers I have spent over 20 million coins and have NEVER gotten a purple card. It is always one over to the card I pick. There is NO WAY you can tell me this is random.
I have to agree with this. It's always either one to the left or one to the right. If It was like 2-3 cards over, I would say it was random, But there's no way I can be ONE off EVERY TIME.
i havnt got one purple on 2 characters sometimes it wont allow me to click one of the selections and its always a purple... i think thats the only problem ive had so far that and so many credits shelled out for no purples im imagining that for some of us getting a purple is similar odds of 3 semi trailers full of soft drink and only 1 can is cold lol.
same for me , always ..ALWAYS next to card i choose if i click on the spot it was in before shuffle ,and if i dont click on spot it was in shuffle , i appears in same place......
If it is rigged then no one will have these so-called "impossible to get" purple and gold. Just a game of chance with low odds. If it were easy it would be so boring because everyone would have one and there is nothing to achieve anymore. It makes me manage my coin and credits more though. Game and hero management have always been one of the foundations of this game and Evony. With that said, Tynon will you give me a good hero now in the tavern because I have the worst luck there lol
The odds certainly aren't fun (3/175 for me) but it is already decided when you click shuffle, so don't get mad.
I've spent millions and millions of credits trying to get a good hero. Out of all these go's I've consistently got a 'Soldier' on every single first pick.
The only time I did managed to get a Purple Hero was when 3 popped up in the selection - I 'picked' the 2 soldiers first - no surprise :( then cos I spent the extra Gems it had to give me one (Alexa) as my last pick.
There must be some 'weighting' factor involved to influence the chances of selecting a decent hero, obviously with the odds greatly against you.
However, I still try, but don't hold out any real hope of getting decent hero's. (I will be guaranteed a Leader Card @ lvl60 as this is one of the completion bonuses)
I also have to agree that the Hero's Tavern is rigged.
I have refreshed countless times. I have picked where the legendary hero was shown and also to the left and right of where the hero was shown before the cards were shuffled.
By law of probability, I should have gotten at least one Legendary Hero even if it was by dumb luck, but I get bupkis. I will no longer invest money in this game until I see some honest changes.
I always choose the center card so if the good hero moves randomly I should have a chance 20%/? of getting the better hero. 100% of the time now beta and live I get a crap choice that spells rigged to me.
its not rigged just luck it takes to get a purple or gold i got a purple today:) its my first
The tavern IS rigged. Look at this statement from the wiki
You would think that the odds of obtaining a card in the shown set of 5 is 1 in 5, however this is not true. The deck is actually just an illusion and the card(up to 3) that you will actually receive (or not receive) is predetermined. The odds of flipping over a hero when it is in the deck you play is probably on par with obtaining a gold rune from the rune temple. It seems to be around 1.25% - 2.5% chance of flipping over the gold card.
My question is why are hero's we recruit still in there?
The gray and blue heroes do not make much sense to keep in there once we get them. With the purple and gold heroes if we manage to pick them again we can buy a card that gives them a stat bonus to one stat per card.
When i was on beta and the first few days of live, i always took the center card. I got one pink hero. At least 70 percent of the time the hero was in the same spot. So for the last week and a half i only click the spot the hero was in. Now 0 percent of the time the hero is in the same spot. Its rigged.
I'd be interested in seeing the equation used to determine which hero we get. Will never happen of course.
I also did this and came to the same conclusion.Quote:
I selected a random card, not the one the hero was original at before I clicked shuffle. 50 times in a row, the hero did not move. Stayed in the same spot., So the did the next test, 30 times I got a purple hero i selected the same card, where the hero originally was, and guess what, he moved one spot left or right, but was never in the same spot as the previous 30. Rigged, I think so.
Tynon, probability - my rear end!
If this was probability (chance) having a 20% chance of pulling a card i want, means if i try for a 100 times i have the possibility of getting it right 20 times out of that 100. Let me tell you that for someone who has tried for many hundreds of times i have NOT even come close. Second point, ascending to VIP 5 and being able to select 3 cards out of 5 means I have a 60% chance, yes that’s right that great than 50%, guess what losers not even close!
Tynon's proclamation that it's chance, I say BULL$HIT! - It's rigged. it's meant to make u waist money. Think about it why else can you buy 2 mil credits with a whopping 100 gems.
