You're not getting 1 billion credits. I doubt it ever said it would do so, as neither our dev team nor any other player has reported this. However, we'll keep an eye out for it.
Its far more likely that you misread it. And you definitely received the correct amount of credits.

I have worked tech support at the highest level and Culture of Arrogance IS a known issue in service groups everywhere; service, in service of, the client is not in the service of support... if you want people to spend money on your game...
