GW planning! Tynon developers, fix it??

Maybe it is on your server but i have played on server 19 and now on server 72 where its not at all. There are very few active players after the 1st 2 weeks and they are all split over the 3 realms. So whenever you lose a city cause of the random palcement of players you end up having an extra GW to try and win that city back.

That I can agree with. They should be there and in G if defending and A if attacking.

What i don't understand is that did the developers intend on GW planning to work randomly if players don't show up or is it some bug which they have to fix ?

well if you DON'T claim guild benefits it says you cant join but as soon as GW start you can just click in and it will also drop you in a random city

BUT it will drop you in a GW over a city that has not ended yet so if you defended 1 city in the first turn the others can join attack in the 2nd round

Also if you are dropped on a city that you are defending before the first round starts you can still pick where to garrison just like if you had joined.
The only real difference between having joined or not joined (does not make a difference if you had claimed benefits or not) is that the host of vice-host can not assign you to a city before the icon goes to Fight.

The way it works for us in server 7 is as follows:

• If you do not claim guild benefits you can not join.
• If you have not joined you can not be assigned to a city using Battle planning you will be assigned to a random city where there is fighting.
• If you have joined and not assigned to a specific city using Battle planning you will be assigned to a random city where there is fighting.
• If you come into the fight after the first round has started you will start on G if defending. If attacking every one starts on A.
• If you enter before the first round starts when defending and do not garrison you end up in G and get nerfed. You do get the March buttons but you do not go anywhere.
• If you exit the battle screen and re-enter you will not get the Move button until next next round starts.

The 1st Ten servers GW is easier as most top players are in different realm or in your guild but when you play server after that you will understand the frustration when your top players end up in random cities even when they clam benefits but are not able to come online at 8 pm. Its impossible for players to be online everyday for GW and when you lose city because of that its very hard o get it back as you have an extra city to fight now. To me it doesn't make sense as to why put players in random city even when they have claimed benefits but just didn't click in fight at 8 pm for players who haven't its fine for them.

There has been alot of threads about this spanning months. Guild Hosts and Vice Hosts spend alot of time planning, then when GW starts the planning does not matter. It mostly seems to affect the AFK members. People who physically click the "fight" button at 8 PM generally go where they are assigned, though not always. As far as everyone else, it's a dice roll on where they end up.

One solution is to find out who in the guild is planning to be there at 8 PM, and base planning strategies on where to best place the actives, and just hope the AFK spread doesn't screw you over. Other than that, if you submit a trouble ticket all you will get as a response is "we are aware of this bug and are working to fix it. We apologize for any inconvenience."

However, as this has been a problem for a long time, just expect that it will not be fixed.

Part of the issue is that we do not know how it is supposed to work. Looking at it logically I think (note that this is my opinion only) that it should work this way.

1. Players that joins before the icon turns to Fight can be assigned to a city whether that player is on line or not at the time the assignment is made.
2. Once the icon turns to Fight, players that have been assigned will be on that city's fight, even if they are not on line.
3. Any player that enters the fight that has not been assigned, either because did not join or the Host or Vice-Hosts did not assign them, are randomly assigned to a city's fight.
4. When attacking, all players that enter the fight start at A.
5. When defending:
   
   1. Players that enter the fight before the first round starts can garrison on any fort, camp, or the city being defended (B thought G). If they do not garrison before the first round starts they start at G.
   2. Players that have joined but have not entered the fight before the first round starts are assigned to G. This includes players that are not on line.
   3. Players that had not joined and enter the fight after the first round starts are assigned to G.

I don't think you understand what is being complained about here...

(EVEN IF) people claim and join, and the hosts set a person to a specific city, they don't necessarily end up in that city (EVEN IF ONLINE)
