I heard Tynon have finished, I mean uncapped level 100-110.
Also heard they finished, I mean opening maps 80-90.
Woot TY for finally finishing, i mean opening more stuff.

lol i think ur joking coz i dont see any thing new
There was a mail on beta, said they uncapping level 110.... and new maps for 80-90. So just means they have fixed the problem people over 100 get, and finished off the maps that we could access 80-90.
i see it now thank i think it will take 1-2weeks but its not much as they say fix lol
they should also drop everyone back to level 100 when they install this patch as they gained levels unfairly
no cred or exp from level 100 from most parts of the game, if they drop level back i would like to get 12 labrynth resets and 9 sails back and all my rewards from arena sorted too.
Thanks for improving the game, bringing new levels, new area and better drops!! However, no one on beta is at 100 but on Live they are. When might we see new levels introduced there?? Much needed there.
When will it be on live? That is where we need it.
The reason its a Beta patch is because its still being tested and being fixed for bugs and game balance.
It will be implemented once all the issues (hopefully) have been sorted out and it works fine 100%.

Herby dont lie, we have never had a patch that is 100% working lol
They should create some players with level 99 and 100 etc that are almost ready to up-level and let them play to test. They can ask for volunteers that know that they are test players and will not be able to used them after the test is over. That is called creating test cases. Same for the map. Give them enough power to beat some of the Map monsters to they can test the different levels.
There may have to be some rules about attacking other players etc so that they do not end up abusing the test players do not unbalance the exiting players. Another thing they could do is create an alpha server where all that there will be is test players that are created to test the new conditions. This is different from the normal testing that is done in that the test players will be trying things by playing normally that the developers did not think of testing.
No need to go through all that trouble. No one is in a hurry here.
Looking at the Beta rankings, there is one that is level 98 already, with several at level 96-97. They should reach level 100 within the week or next.
I hope once this patch goes live that all those above level 100 gets reset to level 100, to be fair to everyone.
They didn't reset people in Title when they changed reqs for that, they simply had to meet the new requirements to level up or get the benefit. That can apply here. Resetting is not fair, not our fault we got there before they were ready.
I think there is not much to test to increase drop rate, or even for levels.. they simply increase. I can see testing on the new area. That may take BETA longer to achieve, not sure if they are as far as LIVE accts are in quest/HR.
but that means that it will take one or two weeks before it can be testes and move to the game servers and it will be tested by only 3 people at most. That is unnecessary. If they set up some test players it can be tested now and more players can test.
I don't think you can compare the changing of Titles to the new level 100-110 xp changes. It's a non-comparison.
It takes 8m xp to get from level 100 to level 106 right now.
It will take around 100m xp to get from level 100 to level 106 once the changes are implemented.
How can you even justify that?
Update: You're at level 104, and you have a guildmate who's at level 107 already. When the new patch rolls out, and levels aren't turned back, Fate would already be at level 110 or past that by then. smh.
Then we have to wait for the few people to get there and delay moving the patch to the game servers. Even then only a very few people will be testing and there will be a smaller chance that they will stumble into bugs.
Wait sorry, what part of the new changes are you referring to here?
Which would you rather have, a patch that comes out in 1 month but has a low number of bugs, or one that comes out tomorrow but is riddled with bugs?
Imagine the number of issues everytime 100+ live servers need to be re-patched because of bugs.
There's a reason the Beta server is there.
YES... cuz at the rate i earn exp, and for all the days since i had 0 exp on everything i would have made at least some. And if they reset us back, would we lose everything that we passed?? But, thankfully, it's not up to you. I'm sure the Dev's understand what it cost us so far.
Any part that requires 100 or over. There are no 100 or over in the beta server and unless they do something we will need to wait for some players to get there.
But if they clone some players and move them up then it will not affect the ones that you normally play on. They can then disable those when the testing for the patch is over. I know that this would be a little inconvenient, but if you are on the beta server you are there to test the changes so you should be willing to do it.
Yes, they should take into consideration the xp that could have been gained otherwise.
But at the same time, they should take into serious consideration the levels that were greatly fast-tracked due to the very low requirements in xp.
Fate could be level 110 already when the patch goes live. It would then be a futile effort since there's nothing yet past level 110, and more complaints would come in.
And we need to wait a week before testing can begin. Also there will be only one player testing instead of many. With only one player there is a lot less chance that he will stumble into bugs. The whole idea of a beta server is to have as many players as possible exercise the new code because they will be doing a lot of things that the devs may not have tested. The success of finding problems is directly proportional to the number of players that can test.
Mischief I think you missed the entire point with your thread. There's a reason its a Beta patch, since a Beta server is for testing only.
They might keep patching and re-patching until things are all sorted out enough for a Live rollout.
I suggest not to rush them so as to get as few bugs as possible when the patch goes live.
Then again, maybe they're not in a rush at all. They can just wait for the players to get to level 100 and see how things go, before rolling things out to live servers.
I think this thread needs to be moved to the Beta part of the forum, so as not to confuse people in the live servers.
can we discuss this in only one tread please. See my answer in http://bbs.tynon.com/showthread.php?4211-Great-News
I did not say that they should rush the change to the game servers right after they start testing. I think that that is why so many bugs got into the game servers in the past. But the longer we get to the test conditions the longer that it will take to be able to move the code. And the fewer the players that can test because they meet those conditions the more bugs that will potentially be moved to the game servers.
I will grant you that the players that do not meet the test conditions will be doing regression testing, but by having 10 or so test players that do meet the test conditions created they will be excising the new code while the rest of the players are doing regression testing. This is a basic principle in software testing. I have been a developer, tester, architect, and project manager for IBM for the last 20 years or so and I am familiar with the Agile methodology that they use since we used it and I am considered a SME (Subject Matter Expert) on it.
That is some good credentials and experience that you have built there. Kudos to you. That would surely help in any of your future prospects and projects.
I, however, could be just an 18 year old kid with a credit card and a lot of spare time. I have no idea about software testing, development, Agile methodology, and was probably only in kindergarten when IBM stopped selling personal computers.
The only thing that binds us together is that we choose to play this fantastic game called Tynon.
We use Agile in main frame programming too and that is what I have always worked on. Programming is programming no matter what platform you are programming in. I did not mean to brag, just to point out why it is a good idea to create some test players in the beta server instead of waiting for one or two to get there in a week.
But you miss the point that those levels were only under a mil for 101, and 102.. 1mil for 103... and so on. It's not like he "fast-tracked" them. If they apply that to a normal 101, it works out. And we did labs, sails, arena stakes.. all 0!! And they also put 0 credits which have nothing to do with leveling. I have no desire to argue, but unless you are over 100, you just don't see it like we do.
