Since reserves only come in during a fight and are gone from formation after the fight is done and since at those times I cannot acces my profile; how do you know they need equip?
The runes did not get swapped to the new hero btw, so that seems like a definite need for the reserves.

I do not know at this point. However if you put an unequipped hero in your formation you get a pop up telling you hero is unequipped, the same is not true of putting an unequipped hero into your reserve slot. I put gear and runes on my reserve hero.
The issue I see with reserves getting the "deceased" heroes gear and runes would be in class changes, you would end up with heroes with no weapon and with runes that did not work for them. So at the very least I would put on weapon and class related runes.
The reserved spaces are for heroes that will drop into battle as ones in form die, during battle, so they would need to be equipped, is my best guess at this point. You don't have time to stop and change things. I can only assume they are besides the 9= 5 in form, 4 in Inn. The ones in Inn might be Calvin for banish, for example, you can switch him out twice a day, or some for HR, some for labyrinth, etc.Quote:

It doesn't make sense for new equipment and runes to transfer to substitutes since the heroes they came from are already dead.
Also, rune slots, class changes, and other things don't match automatically.
Thanks Boroeast. 100 Gems to transfer all my stars and sanctifies from a hero I don't even use to one that jumps in to save my bacon?
Here they are, take them now because for all that is holy I will be blowing gems like crazy on that.
