What you Guys think of patch?

This patch has made the gap between the top to the average player very deep.
For months tynon preeched fairness and aided the side of the average player while penalising the top for progressing to fast, and in one swoop they have flipped that on its head.
I like the patch in whole, but to much and too quick.
Its like a whole new game dropped on us, half way through another game.

Pros...
Love the variation of hero skills, will make people use alot more thought in forms and give people alot more options.
New maps
New graphics
New Event
Sub hero will allow more of a chance in heroics/missions

Cons...
Royal arena is worse than tavern.. Least when you dont get hero in tavern u get spirits. I spent 400 stam in royal arena for 1 purple card.
Hero Inn
Pricing to transfer 6200 gems for gold.
Rep increase for the 2nd time during game... could of just added more titles.
Patch was too soon, still getting error messages

I see two hero skills which are clearly broken, and overpowered.

Queen Brynhildr: AOE stun. Every turn. Get Shayd's skill and mix it with Smoulder's. And you can use Shayd alongside too.

Saffron: Berserker Rage. It's the same skill as Pompey the Great but uses up morale. The damage dealt is insanely disproportionate to the hp lost. With a fighter rune and equipment setup, my Saffron can do 250k damage and lose 16k health (out of 90k).

so put saffron at from of banish, get her to hit first, 250k + 100% boost, chance of crit, 1m damage from 1 hit. i like it lol.

I agree.

Then when you get to recruit Pompey, put him in banish also.
Guaranteed up to 2m damage from him alone.

Then there's your main hero, shayd, aphrodite, brynholdr (all three can stun).
I have a feeling someone didn't fully test out the difficulty levels of things back in the dev room.

As far as I am concerned the biggest problem is not being able to store runes in heroes or some place else. I know that you can put them in the heroes that are in the holding pen, but that is not enough. I would even settle for a compromise of being able to store runes in the Heroes in the Inn if I can bring one in to the rune temple without having to remove one from the formation holding pen. The best solution is to put all the heroes back in the rune temple like they had in Beta.

I liked the new saffron because she gave me 1million more power! actually had a reason to keep her, now might as well put rhize in.

I'm confused as my Saffron still has Shield Wall. How are you seeing Berserker Rage on Saffron?

EDIT: I just read another thread that said the Rage may have been temporary and the Wall is back.

I agree with BooMan, the gap between top players and average players get even bigger now. I am on server 104, players that had already Adam and Blood have a huge advantage now cause the rep-gap for the remaining players to get them was now lifted nearly to infinity. Tynon should think that over!!

i totally agree. im missing runes i think they are in the hero inn. also you need to be able to dismiss hero's you never use.

This patch was changed from the one they put on BETA. Some good changes, "okay" button in banish gone, 3 more spots in heroes

Some issues/concerns: missing the invest button in assistant.
INN - why? why even have it, why can't we just use the heroes like we were?
stakes not showing you have one up when you switch in/out of arena
Sirius items in arena stakes - too soon!! Won't be at that level for a long time, they will only clutter up pack/bank when we are needing room for tokens for increasing spirits.
rep change too big. 2nd time we have had to deal with this, and can't even qualify for the heroes we have had, let alone new ones.
very laggy, locks up, fail to sync, and refreshing even more often. First hit on banish causes freeze until you refresh.
royal arena ~ why must we be forced to accept the heroes we win, whether we want them or not. Just adds clutter to heroes. Should be an option to accept or not, since you are forced to pass them in order to get to the ones
you want. Many on live are too far to need/want more blues now. Or give us an option to delete unneeded heroes.
Timing: last night Rag was at the same time as GW. That was odd. Events should not run simultaneously.

im just glad there in there :) and with the runes i will just have to fix 12 heroes with all slots open to have enough ruines to switch i think this is alot better then 1 list of 90 heroes

I need more heroes that the 12 will give me to store runes. This is what I need to store:

• 8 Messiness for when I what to switch them into the 5 + 3 subs when fighting heavy magic users. That alone makes it impossible because once I have 3 subs that only leaves 4 extra heroes to store runes and you can not have two messinesses in one hero.
• 5 Partisans one each at levels 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 for when I want to time Calvin's first Willbereaker to when it will do the most damage.
• 2nd Mage Runes for when I want to swap one of my active heroes with a Mage. An with the new Mages I may need another set of those. This in more that just Intensiveness a possible Preciseness, but also defensive runes to replace any attack runes that the Hero being replaces has.
• Attack runes for when I want to replace a tank with Ciana or some other attacker.
• Gold runes that I am saving for when the next set of slots opens or for swapping them with exiting runes for special situations like WB

How am I supposed to do all of that with 4 inactive Heroes?

Wow. That's a lot of runes.

How do you open the 2nd and 3rd sub slots?

There are going to be a lot of glitches to fix - this patch may be over-reaching. One thing not mentioned yet is the even faster rate of using stamina.
A quick fix that would work is to increase stamina regeneration rate to 1 stamina every five minutes. One type-over in program and done.

You can't. And aren't suppose to. The "Hero Hotel" idea is a bust. It needs to be removed. Also, we now need a larger Bank too. The cost to open extra bank slots is ridiculous. Go to a timer system like the personal holdings and/or reduce cost to open slots.

The biggest gap widener is the rewards from championship. giving players full sets of Sirius gear when they aren't even able to craft them will give them a huge advantage. skill every round from all heroes will aid them in quests, heroic realm, banish and pvp.

If you look at the rewards, they changed it now. You only get 1 Spirit item for the champion.

Ragnorok is no longer active? also for rune storage there should be something

I hope they bump up the Rep rewards in Rag and Cerebus/Baal and some other events. 2k Rep drain is brutal for not even having rank to unlock Bloodstorm anymore

SO here is my review of the new patch since boo was kind enough to ask for it.

Royal Arena
The royal arena is wonderful, its my favorite addition to this game. I would like to see the first time you fight a hero it cost 0 stamina and i would liek to see that after you recruit teh hero you can continue to fight it for hero cards. However each time you defeat it, the hero becomes strioger and stronger. Also many of teh names are hard to pronounce hence why I had to make up my own new names, just find my thread for that.

Hero Inn
This is the worst addition to the game ever. It totally makes managing extra runes equipment and chips next to impossible. I hope to see this changed really soon

Change in Title requirements
While I agree with everyone having their title reset, I disagree with
1. the 3,8m rep needed for a hero that is useless
2. the fact that they just moved all the heroes up 2 titles instead of giving us 4 new heroes for title, To me this was pure laziness on the part of the programmers.
I would hope to see teh title requirements dropped a little bit say 2m for marshall 1 m for general. I think the programmers realized they made a mistake here thats why we got the 500k rep for free. Unfortunately that created more problems for some people and screwed some people badly.

Result Button
This is my second favorite addition to the game.
But where is it in banish. Thats where we need it the most. Give us the result button in banish but not that Ok/Replay Screen with it. And I dont want to hear no excuses about how that may be difficult. Its coding we had result button on Pirates for ages without the OK/Replay screen. Also why is there no result button for grinding, and no option for auto finish? I want a result button here too

STUN RATES
This is utter and complete BULL
It was already hard enough before especially in 1.25b banish. ANd dont give me the garbage about havingmore stunners, All 5 heroes could stun and it would not make a difference if their stun rate is so low you never stun anyway. I ran 2 labs today as usual. Cianna went from stunning 75%(pre patch) to 25% Shayd went from stunning 35%(pre patch) to 15%. The players have no control over stun rates. The devs just keep nerfing the ability over and over. Either give us a talent or rune to improve stun rate and then a counter to improve stun resistance, Make those part of hit rating and resilience or reset the stun rates to what they used to be. This is garbage and will not rest until stun rates improve. It will be my mission to get the stun rates improved. STanley will be seeing reports from me hourly if need be.

MISC Observations

Assistant is broken - no invest option but it does give you 5 points on assistant for investing

GWF rewards without refreshing THANK YOU

GWF still glitches alot - seriously 5 months and you cant fix this

Like recruiting the hero from the title screen

Thanks for renaming meld to transfer - now it makes more sense

Whats up with Ragnarok at the wrong time? FIX THIS

Still sick of level 2 chips in Lab and having a 1 in 60 chance of getting a spirit plan on server 1 other servers have a higher drop rate give server 1 a higher drop rate

I think all the icons at the top now is a bit much and their relative size to each other is annoying - just make them more uniform and maybe take up less room on the screen - at the rate you guys are going 75% of teh screen will be icons at some point

World Chat banner is still annoying

Support tab in chat box is dumb. move it up there with the forums link. Its suppose to be chat box tabs. And support tab just opens a new window. Its making clicking between tabs more annoying then before

I am really confused with the added coins and credits from royal arena heroes. It says and I quote "+x% increase in coins and credits gains" To me that means all gains. SO that means monsters, banish, shrine,chests,guild chest, guild rewards, gwf rewards, arena rewards, P stone, PvP fights, pirates, lab, etc etc. Yet this seems to only apply to shrine p stone and mysterious chests WHATS UP WITH THAT? Seriously if you guys have not learned english by now especially with the level 7 city debacle, you got major issues. AM i actually getting these increases from other places and not seeing it? I am guessing this is misworded as usual which is once again BULL. fix the wording or make it apply to ALL GAINS like it says.

I would like to see a way to get more rep daily. Not a lot more but some would be nice. Maybe add rep as a stake to arena. the Loyalty Card tech should have been like level 1 or 2 tech not level 5.

Im sure ill have more thoughts later, but over all like the patch. I think it was too much at once. It would have been nice to have broken this up and implemented some of this every few weeks for the past 2 months so it wasnt so much to digest at once. I hope some of the major concerns alot of us have are addressed and quickly, otherwise i think we will lose even more experienced players.

Matt, I'm gonna agree with on that this shouldn't have been implemented all at once. This game doesn't have enough long-term appeal to keep a lot players interested without tossing us a little something every now and then.

I think the main thing that makes it non interesting is the lack of a backstory on the main quest, and any of the heroes in the game. If it had some kind of history behind it... even if it were just a small side quest for each hero, that had cutscenes to give each hero a background, some insight into why they are fighting, and how it came about that they have the skills they have, then that would be the long term appeal factor the game needs... Love the patch. hate the rep debacle, but otherwise im happy with it. LETS GET SOME HISTORY GOING ON IN HERE.

Yeah, there's not really a story or anything to keep players going. Just grinding, grinding, and more grinding.

What happened to Cianna's stun it is almost non existant.

So, let me sum it up (I am quite a new player on one of the older servers - Thunder of Zeus):

- New heroes are interesting, on the other hand those I am able to defeat seem to be weaker then those I already have.
- Result button is just great!
- Hero Substitution - nice idea, although it will take me very long to get there.
- Hero inn - why? Interesting idea, but practically and in the current settings it just makes handling all the runes much more difficult (and expensive in credits..)
- Championship warfare - nice, not for my power level though.
- Reputation - WHAT THE HELL ?? I was working very hard to get to the Adamanti hero, I spent quite some gems for reputation as well and was at Smoulder at the moment... now everyone got to this rank completely for free, the requirements for Adamanti are just insane from my perspective, not talking about Blood. This makes all the people with these heroes godlike compared to all those that did not have them. And I am even not talking about the Reputation upkeep.. Also, imagine a new guy that would create a character on this server. He will be starting with 0 reputation and with no chance to even get close to all the people that got this senseless reputation bonus in a reasonable time.
- Reduced stun chance for Shayd and Cienna - I now get lower rewards from Baal and Kerberus events, I had a BIG ISSUE defeating the heroic boss that I took out in 1 or 2 battles before.. not nice.

All in all, this change is great for all the higher power players out there, but just terrible for all the lower power players trying to catch up with the stronger ones. The new heroes available to us are usually weaker then the older ones, it's so much harder to get to those great heroes that the higher power people already have, we won't stand a chance in that new event (same with all of the older ones). I'd think that it would help this game much more when the weaker players would be able to catch up with the stronger ones faster. But this update is a BIG step in the right opposite direction.

So my feeling from this update is just a huge disappointment.

There are a few other things wrong with the updates that I feel should be mentioned. When battling Cerebus and Baal the chat box vanishes and now we cannot even see the result of each hit, that seems to have been removed. I would rather have seen the promotion announcements and rune temple rewards removed. I restarted on server 107 and was working my way up comfortably, excited to finally get Shayd and Cianna, just in time for this reduction in their stun ability, that is a downer. Then there is the Heaven Palace. Each week it gets harder to beat and the rewards remain just as bad. When I have to spend hunderds of thousands of credits for a CHANCE that fails several times and finally beat 10 statues, then draw a card and get 10 or 20 reputation, that is pathetic. The very least a reputation reward should be 100 times the level of the palace. Those rewards need to be upgraded to fit the amount of effort we put into building our characters.

Also, The Arena should have a timer placed under the icon, now that they changed it.

I think the reputation is SUCH a LONG stretch. especially, when you need 800 for the next title. atleast help us get more reputation other than Baal/cerb and ragnarok. I don't even see the point of Ragnarok if its giving you 100 to 200 reputation. and I'm the 4th strongest in the server ~_~" what more reputation point could a lowbie get. 10? 50? lol. what a joke.

I was several HOURS away from getting Bloodstorm when the patch hit and well now my progression is not going to recover as I have spent numerous months and many hundreds of dollars to get to where i was to have it ripped away from me. If the Military treated their ranks as such there would be no army as it would be utter chaos.

Wow... I got bloodstorm a couple months ago without spending.

This Patch is sending new players to new servers...because a new player does not receive 500k rep to catch up with the others..so no new player can compete with that..either make it in the beginners where they get 500k rep so new players will stay or get rid of this patch it only messed the game up more..

The main problem was I unlocked Adamanti and Bloodstorm but was not able to obtain the cards for them. The tavern really does seem to be rigged. So the solution would be to give the cards for the two heroes to everyone who HAD unlocked them BEFORE the update. This would motivate all the players affected to continue to play until they have sufficient reputation to unlock them a second time.

See, Tynon, people did get screwed, and not just me. When I submitted a note to support, Stanley said this is why we gave you 500Krep' yeah, but that does not compensate for the LOSS of the unlocked heroes.

everyone goes at their own progression - and the relics and rune temple held me back some i am so "lucky"

I bought my adamanti and bloodstorm with spirits as soon as I could after I unlocked them.

For the newer player to the game or even a lower player, trying to get Adamanti or Bloodstorm now is beyond hope. To get the 300k more rep needed to unlock even Adam is like a 5-6 month wait to do so. And to think that there are other heroes to unlock with rep... forget it. This new rep requirement has basically shut down any new players from advancing. It will kill the game for all except those who have already have the heroes they need to advance through the rest of the game's content. But lower players without Adam & Blood. The game is now useless and dead.

You guys at Tynon better rethink this fast before you turn away all the lower/newer players. It has now become pointless to play the game.

Dude you have all these new heroes and you are obsessed with adamanti and bloodstorm. Time to move on, some of those new heroes are pretty awesome.
