You don't need tickets to participate. Anyone can sign up for the prelims. The top 512 in the prelims participate in the actual knockout tournament.
The Sign up button i grayed out and it says "Bounty for Registration: 2,000 Tickets". I assumed that this means I need 2,000 tickets to register. If that is not the case how do I register?
Also, do the players that are not participating (fighting) but want to bet in it have to register too?
Signup isn't open yet.
And what definition of bounty says that you would have to pay to participate?
Then:
- What are the 2,000 tickets bounty means?
- What ate the "tickets" anyway?
- Where do I get them?
- Is there an entry fee that I need to start saving for or some requirements that I have to meet to participate?
- Is there betting allowed like the initial announcement said? If so:
- Is there a fee to bet?
- What do you use to bet (Gems, Credits, Coins, or the mysterious tickets).
- How much are the bets?
- What do you win?
- Are you betting against other players of 'against the house'
- Exactly what are you betting on? The overall winner?
- Are there any odds involved in the bets (the underdogs give you better return on investment that the favorite kind of thing)?
In other words, this whole championship thing is really confusing as to how it will work. Can some one that participated in the Beta please explain it?
Based on my experience on beta,
you get 2,000 tickets on sign up (only for the top 512, but don't really know when is the sign up available, i'm not in that bracket),
no entry fee,
betting is allowed and the first bet is free for every match,
subsequent bets on the same match cost gems (10 gems each time, gems are converted to tickets for the bet),
you bet on which player wins the particular match,
odds of bet are not stated by inherently linked to the number of tickets/gems costs
you win tickets from bets, which can be used to exchange for items in the shop
You get the 2k tickets for signing up.
Tickets can be redeemed for prizes like in the labyrinth.
You get tickets from fighting in championship warfare.
There is no entry fee and I don't believe there are requirements to enter (unless they are early in the game).
I don't know how the betting works, I didn't bet on beta.
I understand you know nothing in the game is free and your trying to find some catch, but chill out. Bounty means reward, (real meaning not tynon meanings) so its a gift to start each tourney with.
As soon as you see it in action its simpler then Ragnarok to work out.
Betting is as simple as clicking on player A or player B as each match happens each round. (Example: You bet on all 3 matches in a best of 3)
I meant that there is no cost to participate. Not that you cant play it free or whatever conclusion you have arrived at. I mentioned nothing about vip levels.
Nah I was meaning there usually is a cost to a feature (5 stam per attack on new heroes anyone), but this one doesn't so stop looking for it. :)
You get rewarded with tickets even if you don't reach the top.
You guys are funny. :D Bounty means "prize" or "winnings". So Bounty for entering Championship: 2000 tickets means you win them for registering. You can spend them in the shop, win or lose. If you win, then you earn more to spend. I think you misunderstood bounty. It is completely free for all to register.
i still think it would of been better for like server 1-9 10-19 20-29 etc etc then it would make it more even for all ppl within tynon not just allow the top like 10 servers to win it every time
do players from server 112 compete against players from server 1? Seems a bit unfair. Is this rearly only for old hands at the game?
To be honest even 99% of people on servers 1-5 don't even have a chance to win. So I don't know what server 80 is complaining about who hasn't endured 5 months of the game only to see the heaviest cashers on their server potentially get 10 free leader cards (most of us haven't even collected 5 over 5 months).
And as a player on Server 1-5 group I don't think someone on server 50 should have a chance to win a 50-60 group.
The whole game is to find the best of the best. Of course not everyone will get to compete. Of course it won't seem fair. Maybe they will come up with the best of more categories, more like boxing. Heavy-weights, med-weights, lightweight and so forth. But for now it is to find the Champ of Tynon. It might be fun, and you can bet on winners, make some gems. You can spend your tickets..... all will win something.
Just tested this on beta, it seems anyone can sign up for this and get 2000 tickets (regardless of ranking), roughly 48 hours before the championship starts
In Beta, what day of the week and time are the different rounds? I need to plan ahead so that I can be available.
no info currently, the championship starts in roughly 28 hours from now
i know from beta
you dont have to be there to fight
once you sign up its all automatic
but if you want to try and change forms etc
you need to be there.
and to bet you need to be there
Once you sign up, you will see the countdown timer. You do not need to be present. You can select a formation, so if you are doing something else at the time, your chosen form will be used. Then it will send mail and let you know results. It will run until all battles are finished of ea round. Then 8 hrs later the next set will commence. It gives you time to set up form, for those who made it, and so forth, for every round until the Final champion is found. It is quite well done, imho. You will see, when it opens.
Do you think it would be fair to give a green jacket to a golf player who has a handicap of 95 and only played for 6 months ?
Do you think its fair to give first prize to a guy in a stock 2000 ford festiva in a Tour de france ?
Do you think its fair to give a guy in a row boat first prize in a sail boat race?
I could go on...
All that said, I do believe there should be like 3 or 4 divisions with a 1 to 10 top finishes in each division , Based on power lvls. Prizes in accordance to power lvl of coarse.
As you power up you can then look forward to getting into the next division and therefor be part of each Championship only at a lower lvl.
Its called "Championship" Warfare , I dont know what else to tell you lol, everyone cant win...if you dont like it dont use it, but all players can use tickets to bet on the fights etc , and then trade them in for some good stuff... Its not a "All players will win first prize" Warfare.
You do realize the player at 10mil power on server 1 who cant participate will get the same rewards as someone who is 2mil on server 80???? Which are quite generous if you can guess whether player A or B will win a fight.
Seriously people are getting stupider here. Apart from a dozen or so vip8's+ who are kitted out in 6 pc justice already most people will get the same rewards.
How does gambling work? There are many possibilities.
This first set is if you can only bet on the winner. I assume that is the way it works
- You bet against "the house", with no odds. If you win you get whatever you bet back plus an equal amount in winnings. The number of players betting, the total amount bet by all players or the number of winners does nor affect what you get. This is similar to playing games like roulette in a casino.
- You bet against the house, with with odds that are calculated based on the power of each player or some other factor. This is the same as #1 but your winnings are whatever you bet times the odds.
- The total amount that was bet by all players goes into a pool and it is divided equally among the winners.
- Like #3 above but with odds as described n #2 above
- For #3 or #4 above total amount bet is reduced by a percentage that goes to "the house".
On the preliminary rounds are the players divided into groups and the ones that 'place' in each group advance or is it a free for all like Rag? It says that that it is a round robbing system and that implies that each player fights every other player once. With 512 players in the first round and only 5 minutes that is 35 seconds per round (5*60*60/511=35.225) and that does not appear to be possible unless the fight scenes are terminated early (we all know that the result is already determined).
Another possibility is that their idea of round robin is like in Rag where you face random opponents but you only face the same opponent once. That means that out of the 511 opponents in the first preliminary you would only face 300 of them if they are 1 minute rounds like in Rag.
On subsequent rounds where the each player fighting another player once would take less than 5 minutes:
- Do they fight each other more than once?
- Are the rounds timed like in Rag or do they go to fight scene completion like in WB (Banish)?
Is the betting done on each individual round or only for the overall winners?
Update
I have no clue what I was thinking when I wrote the above. It says that each round lasts 5 minutes and my calculation was based in 5 hours. Now I am really confused. How can you have a round robin of 512 players in 5 minutes?
How I understand the preliminaries is that they will be used to select the 512. So the preliminaries will include everyone in tynon. They will fight in a round robin system to select the top 512. Then the warfare starts from there going in elimination rounds.
If I started playing last month I wouldn't be on here crying about not being able to take on someone who has been playing since the game went live in june. I mean how can you even think you should be able to compete with them? I am not from 1 to 10 servers either, closer to server 30 actually . I already stated that I think there should be different divisions so I am not blind to your plite. It is what it is, just let it play out, you may even enjoy it even if you not the top dog.
There really is not any purpose about complaining about it before the first championship warfare even begins (the ones on beta don't count as a true test of it because the beta server is just a single server).
The difference between the gems cost for removing chips and championship warfare is that you guys want it changed before you even get to see it in action. How do you know you are going to like or dislike something before you try it. You wouldn't decide that a new flavor of ice cream isn't any good before you have even tasted it would you?
Also, for those who the servers divided based on age, if they implemented that before the first warfare, they would be entirely arbitrary and we would have people complaining about that instead.
Does it really matter which server gets the most rewards? As far as I am concerned, if I get good rewards compared to people in my OWN server, I will be happy. If you are strong enough to compete for the top 8, then great -- you have no reason to complain. If you are NOT strong enough to compete, then why should it matter that others servers are getting better rewards? Servers are not directly competing with each other, so as long as you get nice rewards relative to players in your own server, you should be content.
I am a "big shot" in my own server (based on power), yet a small fry in the great scheme of Tynon -- and still I would be very disappointed if they split the championship based on a server's start time. I would like to compete with the greatest of Tynon, even if that means I will lose horribly.
Just my two cents.
Yeah my main server is server 3, but there are players on 90 who could probably beat me unless they truly do not know what they are doing. I never said I was strong and without a lot of luck there is no way that I will make it past the prelims. And I do not care where the tops rewards go.
Let's assume they do draw some lines and split the servers up by age. The oldest servers in each group are going to get the top rewards and players from the newest servers from each group will complain how the arbitrarily drawn lines are keeping them from having a shot at the top rewards. There is no way to make it completely fair without have at least 20+ different championship warfare groups and that number will keep on growing as more servers get added. The whole purpose of the warfare is to see who is the best and the rewards are just an incentive to participate.
Furthermore, I do not complain that I do not get a chance at the great rewards from WB due to the strongest players in my realm monopolizing the top few spots or that I do not have a shot at making it far into the Heaven's Palace where the rewards get really good (of course the server I'm on is one of the ones that tries to make HP easier for weaker players but that just pissed me off, I loved trying to beat the best players on the server even if it wasn't really them).

Actually Revan, server 65 is one of the more stronger servers after 50 I do believe, I went on 60 and their strongest was 10million, and our top 9 has more than 12 million, but heck im not complaining about the warfare, I want to have a chance to see and fight stronger people, because I feel I have a chance against a few that have more power than me, and also I cant wait to bet on winners. ;)
