I noticed the same thing, but I keep getting told the problem has nothing to do with that???

Not really, the forum automatically timestamps the timezone you are in.

And to all the community, I can't tell you anything official because don't work for Tynon.

Probably not. The timestamp on my posts is precisely 5 hours ahead. GMT.
