Herby, you are right here, but it has come as a bit of a shock to most.

I really want to say that caps being in place in earlier stages of the game would have helped with that outpacing stuff.
1 cap should have been on the amount of gems one can buy in a week.
If they wanted balance, how come they didn't cap the amount of power one could gain?
I feel players who have worked hard and invested a lot of money into this game keep being punished by Tynon, or at the least not acknowledged.
It also looks like those who disagree with this are a minority.
I think Tynon understands why people are angry, but just doesn't care nor have the ability to help it.
If they would care, they would offer refunds.
At this point I and many others are rather fed-up with Tynon, the game developers, customer service and the reps.
Shame really.
See? The 80% that you gain now doesn't really impact your gameplay that much.
Let's say, you were getting 1.1b coins, 400m credits per week before.
Now, you'll be getting 900m coins and 320m credits instead.
Is it really that bad?
I like your idea. Increasing the rewards in the other parts of the game would make things livelier for everyone.
You don't need to ugrade your runes everyday, and once you do your balcksmith it will be a few days before the cooldown is finished so you can save for runes then. This patch affects every player and the weakere ones more and at some point they will fight the stronger baal and they won't get as many coins and credits as you and others did, so you are still at an advantage compared to them.
Agree.
Some will argue that its a net zero effect since everyone is effected. But its actually a regressive tax on the most powerful players since their growth sustainment costs are much higher.
You top players have just been castrated and told to go start new toons or to go to another realm.
This game looks ever more like its controlled by quasi-capitalists who have a communist ideological philosophy more so than by gamers and those familiar with gaming strategy.
The only way you can extract out a concept of balance here is to start a new toon and apply your knowledge to get on a faster growth curve since the one you are now on is being flat lined. But in so doing its double jeopardy since your real life game play time will now be fragmented across multiple accounts and spaces - meaning you are spending ever more of your life to play. At some point the rational mind will have to ask "is the return on time and investment in terms of 'enjoyment/entertainment' worth it to me anymore?"
I don't get where you guys get that its 100 mil coins and 40 mil creds... the mail clearly states it is 100 mil coins and 20 mil credits, not 40... meaning the credit amount has been over cut in half.
Edit. Just did the math. Herby you are correct its 40 mil creds.
Ok so as usual the concerns of players are irrelevant to the game developers, this comes as no surprize, I have played beta and then server4 since very early on in development, and many times I have been adversely affected by changes that the development team make, for example the changes in the promotions now I'm stuck on colonel with over 400k rep to go for king thesus, when some players were only a small amount ahead of me before the change are now so very far ahead. the game is inconsistent, I am not a big spender - I recently spent enough to move from VIP 3 to VIP 4 but I am not gonna spend any more to have what I have worked for taken away every time tynon move the goal posts.
The developers need to look at the game from the point of view of all the players. What you consider fun because you are a high level player is probably not fun for most players because it widens the gap between you and them. I know that most high level players consider making the bame more 'noob' friendly is bad, but the game is not just for them. It is for all the players. One solution would be to move all the players that think that the game being noob friendly is bad news to a new server and let them go at each other there. Of course that means that you loose contact any lower level players that stay behind. I know that there are some logistics that would need to be resolved, such as Guilds and Guild contributions, but I am sure that something can be worked out.
The opinions expressed on this post are my own as a player, not as a Moderator.
1st: I'd like to say I'm sorry to all I've ticked off, Morgan being the main one, all others as well.
2nd: Thank you tynon for placing caps on talents, blacksmiths, and HR.
I'm on server 1 and don't spend much anymore, these caps give others and myself the chance to catch up to the top 10, without these caps in place we would have no chance to catch the big spenders. There will be a new top 10 soon because of this :D.
I have to say Herby has opened my eyes, I never really agreed with him, but after realizing I don't have to spend money now to catch up to the big players I'm on his side.
We were going back and forth over nothing, I agree I like how Tynon stands up to the big spenders and says like Herby quoted, "Play like we want or get the hell out".
This shows that even the smallest in Tynon has a chance to become #1 on any server.
Suggestion: Next time the spenders gain to much power, instead of placing cap limits, just strip their power away, that will teach them :D
This is a new day for me! I'll be on my best behavior in forums now that I've seen the light!!!
