NO, they never said anything about changing the coin/credit rewards from being based on damage to percentage.
1.25B Baal will see a reduction, 250M Baal will see no change whatsoever.

From observations in an Asia Pac server:
Total damage for an entire realm's banish is now limited to 100m coins and 40m credits total, shared amongst all the realm's players.
Yes, it's 40m, not 20m like was said in the patch notes.
Rep gained is equal to the percentage of what you killed of the boss's hp.
Currently, this only affects 1.25b hp banishes and higher, since you'll never reach the limits anyway with a 250m hp banish and lower.
Calculations are an even percentage.
For the 1.25b HP boss and higher:
Coins gain = % of the boss's hp killed x 1M
Credits gained = % of the boss's hp killed x 400K
Well if Herby is accurate and thats the formula now, then that is so wrong its not funny.
If your coins and and credits are now tied to the % of hp damage you do and not the actual amount of hp damage you do with cap on total amount of coins and credits - then small players at the very bottom are getting more and taking it away from the top players,
Regardless of how it works, prior notice would have been appreciated. Also a explanation that everyone in the world could understand without running to the forums for someone else who took their time to figure out what they actually meant to say and translated it for us would have been appreciated.
I am not awake enough to do math this morning. Of course smaller players do not get more this way, everyone gets less period. And this makes a 6.25b banish pretty much pointless.
Also the whole NL gem thing bugs me. It happens during CWF for USA east. SO if your in CWF you might as well forget about getting the 100 gems. ANd this will just cause more lag for the USA eastern servers. I like the concept but would preferred to see everyone gets the same amount of gems
