Screwing people out of what? free extra benefits in the game that they aren't entitled to at all?

lol. By that I mean they have even less reason/makes less sense to be entitled. :P
But you know what I mean, "screwing" doesn't not necessarily mean "taking something of a player" but also "giving an unfair advantage to another player". And the "unfair advantage" here is "I know a guy who's good enough to manipulate the matches. So I'm going to exploit that so that I can get more tickets than I would otherwise."
Why does every comment in this thread is assumed to be about Yue? Give the poor lady a break now no one is on a witch hunt OK? :) My one and only concern from the beginning was rigging going to be commonplace and what impact was it going to have on future Championship Warfare. Yue and Nixon were just the unlucky examples, if it had been other competitors in a similar situation their final would've been discussed here I'm sure.
My comment regarding if you don't want to win why enter was really aimed generally, just because the original poster mentioned Yue doesn't mean I meant her and her alone.
Now that's cleared moving to your other comment. As I said earlier personally CWF isn't something I'm ever win and I'm more than OK with it, in fact I'm happier not to win it. I personally have more fun in the trying than the winning. Heck I'm not a big spender on this game and have no where near the wallet size to even compete. I'm certainly not whining, I don't care! It's just a few are concerned that the same people seem to be winning and trying to see if there are other ways to balance it out. Doesn't mean that Tynon will force the Top 8 to sit out the next round, in fact the vibes from Dawn are clearly saying this is very unlikely to occur.
it can be free but it can cost gems, a bet is a bet and when betting on anything you take a calculated risk but atleast imo there needs to be a degree of trust that the games are played out fair or people wouldnt bet, im not talking about yue but about it in general, i think giving guild/friends a chance to catch up is a good thing but in this case where people bet the system is flawed.
Well, actually, I'm not even sure if "letting other players win" is the solution to the problem, especially the problem is pretty much a system exploit, just one with a social aspect (knowing the right people).
I would suggest some sort of system change, like not allowing formations to have less than maximum number of possible heroes or limits on which heroes to switch out, or even as simple as players having to finalise their formation before the betting ends so that players cannot take out all heroes except for main right when the betting ends, or not allow changes to formations 30 minutes before and during the CWS (you got a ''day'' to muck around your formation between each day of CWS. More than enough time).
I think CW has been very good in this regard. There's only a handful of people that have the wallets to get into top 8, but the tickets have given the smaller spenders access to stuff that previously required a lot of gems to acquire. And betting on matches to get these tickets keep the rest of the players involved and for the most part, everyone has pretty close to equal access to the tickets (sure, you are going to win more tickets by getting further in the elimination rounds, but not by too much more)
The problem is no more a system exploit that setting up the formations for HP. What makes this different is the betting. If the player lets the Guildmate win, in my opinion, it is not an exploit. Yes the people that placed bets, specially the ones that used Gems to increase the bets, have a good reason not to be happy with the players actions but that does not make it an exploit.
In the other hand, if it was set up so that the player's friends or guild mates wold know ahead of time and bet on the fight knowing the the obvious winner would loose, then it is an exploit.
