Tynon merged server 21 and 30.
So a few things to clear up the confusion.
- If you have a character on server 30 but want to log in via 21 you will be prompted to make a new character. So you can log into 2 characters on 1 server now without either being disconnected.
- All city ownership is taken away and must be reclaimed.
- Some names and guild names get changed. You can go change it again for free. (If your name didn't change you don't get a free change)
- Compensation packs given out, below is the basic pack and you get more rewards if your guild lost cities.

But generally the servers seems normal.

Is the time zone the same (were 21 and 30 the same time zone)?
I changed the name of the tread to "Servers 30 and 21 merger discussion" so it is more descriptive.
Finally a merger.
This looks promising.

I tried that and ended up deleting the tread. It is now undeleted again. I made a copy and I am going to see what I can do.
Update - I tried and all I can do id to edit the first post and put Kruize's post there but it would look like Rivebummer made it so I will not do that. There is no way to reorder the posts on a tread and when you merge treads they are placed in the order that they were posted.
This thread is basically useless so rather close this one and reopen Kruize's thread which is much more detailed.
Andy you can use the first post to quote mine if that would help things.
OK guys undeleted, opened and unlocked all threads regarding this rather important moment in Tynon. Try to keep the merge discussion to this thread only preventing further confusion and of course keep it on track within forum etiquette.
Congrats to servers 21 and 30, look forward to hearing how it goes for you guys. The only thing I can think of why there was no warning is this is a 'live test run' on two very underpopulated servers to iron out any bugs.
Talking of bugs Morgan. Lets merge some early servers with later ones so we can squash some bugs :P

How are the servers determined as to which server is merged?
Do they take into account newer servers for older servers for balanced game play of lvl of players on various servers based on age?
They most likely look at the revenue stream or lack there of to which servers get merged, the lowest ones get merged, the most profitable ones wont be, why mess with a good thing?Quote:

As far as I have read these merges mean the following;
Your guild will remain in tact, including members.
You will be placed in the same realm as you were previously.
GW will be wiped clean ( does that mean that the top 10 servers will change to the new system or won't be merged?).
You will still have the option shown as being the server you previously inhabited but both are directing players to a same spot.
Name changes of guilds can occur and when they do you get a free change possibility.

I am very happy Tynon is trying this out and look forward to more news about the subject!
Servers 1-10 are not in (or at least shouldn't be) need of merges so it probably isn't going to be an issue for a long while.Quote:
