Because with Maria's healing there is a possibility that the fights could go on forever.
you know the more i think about this, the more im starting to agree a round cap is silly. Yes theoretically with maria you could have fights that last forever. But theres a simpler solution then punishing anyone who cant finish a pve fight in 30 rounds. Maria just always misses after 30 rounds. And dont tell me they cant program that. I mean if her effectiveness drops after her magic attack goes over 10k then they can add that into her as well and remove the fight round cap.
Now if you want to argue that khan and penth can also create this effect. Well this can only happen if both sides have a hero with their skill - which could happen. But I think the likely hood of this happening is remote and should not be used to penalize players. So in this case I would recommend and of the healing abilities of all other heroes/minions/bosses simply decrease in effectiveness after 30 rounds. SO say penth instead of healing 100% of her damage she starts healing at 50% after 30 rounds in pve 25% in pvp, then that % drops in half every 5 rounds there after. But this must also be applied to bosses like giant same and any new ones to be introduced in the future
The 30-round cap is there to encourage offensive gameplay. It is not to "punish" anyone, but to make sure that high-defense setups do not become too common. Offense is more interesting and better for the game.
That is very interesting. Thanks for saying that.. I always said defense was worthless. But this does not make sense to me. The 30 round cap actually encourages high defensive setups.
Because if you are attacked and have a high defensive setup, and can survive 30 rounds, you win. with out needing any offense. You may need to rethink this concept.
Because the PvE bosses are highly defensive. I say this because I include HP as part of your defense. SO when you fight bosses with MILLIONS of HP that is the exact reason people are hitting the 30 round cap. SO your reasoning may be whatit is but your solution is quite flawed. I think my idea works better and obtains the same thing. Which will also allow players to customize their toons more and not all be forced into using high offensive forms and strategies to do everything
why is defense not exciting???
Because people like to see big numbers when they are the ones dishing them out. And honestly who wants to sit through a 30 round fights where almost none to none of the heroes die (yes I know there is a skip button...).

Maria is a quite helpful. I've seen guys with 650K power defeat bosses with 1,000K power because they have Maria. I don't have her but if you are annoyed with the round cap GET MARIA!!!!!!
i approve of the concept of round caps, but it's hideously frustrating when you are close to beating a Boss and can't because of the round cap. i.e. Veleno ... fortunately i could sneak around, but what about the next one?
I so hate it when "insiders" mention that Tynon doesn't want to encourage a defensive style game-play. Truly, taking away half the fun and possibilities. Just ridic - treat defensive runes like all the rest.
I encountered a boss that just auto declared me as loser after 30 rounds - I had been spamming for quite sometime and was WINNING the fight. Then BAM - done - YOU LOSE.
Thought it was a glitch - Soon had another round end the same - Was WINNING but nope ... I lose.
Figured it was a round cap but not sure - and support clarified it for me.
I understood but still a bummer.
My major disagreement with it was, that at the end of thirty, why auto that I have to lose the fight?
Give it to whichever side has the most HP at the end of 30 rounds.
Attackers task is to defeat the enemy Full Stop
Defence is to last the battle and stay alive long enough that you either kill the enemy or they give up (ie 30 round cap) killing the enemy is always better that way they cant come back.
However if HP was to be used, then it should be percentage of HP from which each started.
If you cant kill in 30 rounds then power up your attack, your defence is needless to say just fine as it it.
