Language
Hey Tynon I just logged onto Asia Pac as Australia is in Asia Pac and players are speaking their own language and it is getting difficult with all players feeling different about how it affects play. Evony had this problem and it would be way cool if you could sort this. I have gone back to beta as it has already caused me difficulties and when i tried to resolve it within Guild I was told TUFF, get used to it.
Thank you. It would be nice if we could keep to our own langs if we don;t understand others.
Cheers
Jila;)

This issue with other languages did not happen in guild, it happened in open chat with other players. It should not have been addressed in guild. You should have gone straight to Tynon to ask about any language requirements they may or may not have (like Evony does). It might also help Tynon if you give them the names of those who are not speaking English in open chat, so that Tynon can do the right thing.
Regards
Lita

I think the servers are split up by region for a reason, so that people who live in each respective time zone can enjoy the game as they see fit. It would stand to reason to me that by opening a server to serve the Asian and Pacific areas you would expect people to speak their own languages on their respective server otherwise why would you cater a server to their region? In the End User Agreement before they took it offline it never actually stated English was the official language of the game.

in happened in evony beta testing and i was talking about resolving the issue that they used with evony and i was not talking about lang in guild but I was trying to resolve in guild with another player, please have another read of my post
sorry but australia is in asia pacific and i was suggesting a fix like they did evony, i was not complaining but it is the same for non english speaking people as it is for english speaking people. I was not expecting it all to be in english, but for us all to be able to understand in our own language. I was trying to get across fairness and equity for all not just for english speaking peoples. I happen to speak english and my husband in black, an islander and i have adopted a number of non english speaking children. Please do not assume I am an Australian bigot, I understand both sides of the issues and was merely trying to get equity addressed.
actually I did not bring it up in guild Psiphon did, if u can check it. He apologised in guild when there was no need to

It would seem to me that this would open up a desire for groups of servers that cater to certain language groups rather than regions. This would solve a lot of problems when people seek to open up a new account in the game.
