CWF Crown System needs adjustment

I respect your views, but, I have to disagree with you.

Using the GOLF analogy by PR, it is like saying we see the same top 10 golfers on the PGA tour winning all the money over and over.. (Tiger, Phil M, etc etc). Of course it is the same people that win time and time again. Because maybe they put in the resources (be it money or time) to get to where they are? You think if Tiger and Phil would be where they are at without putting in the resources? I wonder how much Tiger and Phil spent on coaches, etc to get to be as good as they are?

All I would say is that the CWF system should be realistic with system with no limit does exactly the opposite and sets the wrong precedence as this game continues to progress.

I for one would hate to see all these big spenders move on. I highly doubt it is the non-paying players who are keeping this game progressing and so we need to make sure the reward system is valid.

I think that is what is being said here by Herby and PR.

How does golf compare to a computer game? Answer: There isn't an comparison. Professional golfers spend hours practising their game to be the best something that can't be replicated to on a virtual level. As far as I can tell there is no gym to 'beef' up your heroes and improve their power, it's all done through medals, sainting and gear. So if Tiger Woods can come up with a way to star or saint his golf clubs I think we need a new metaphor.

What is being both overlooked by both PR and Herby is that although yes there is a handicap but when others win CWF they too will receive a crown and a handicap. For example, player A wins CWF 5 times and has a 25% handicap. Player B wins the next two tournaments and gets a 10% handicap. Now there is a difference of 15% between player A and B, instead of the initial 25%. I really can't see where all the need to 'cap' the amount of crowns is coming from.

All I'm seeing and no disrespect to PR here is he wants to win every CWF and now he has to fight harder for it he doesn't like it. Well that PR is what competition is all about, any professional golfer or athlete will tell you that.

EVERYONE wants to win every CWF. PR has only won twice. You should look at the other timezones where the winner's been the same for 5 or 6 straight times.

Why should a player who has spent 50% less, and has devoted 50% less time, be given equal chance to win a championship due to handicaps?

CWF is for the champions of tynon. Everyone else should be glad they get tickets just participating in it.

Rather than punish the winner, why doesn't Tynon instead merge CWFs together, so the competition becomes tougher?


If players would want equal chance at winning a big payoff, then they'd better just play the lottery.

I don't want to win CWF because I know I won't, so for me it's a moot point. We've covered the reasons why players who have won multiple times should have handicaps because they have won some very nice items which massively boost their account, least we forget that others too have spent time and money but can't catch up because of the extra buffs a champ gets. To be the best you have to work at it and to be honest it's been a pretty easy run for the champs up to now.

As for merging the divisions, this has been discussed several times. The time zones wouldn't allow for it, oddly enough people need sleep too.

If you read my initial post, I am asking for Tynon to put limits to CWF crowns, or to give crown winners an added benefit to offset the nerf the crowns give to them.

And if you've read the whole thread you would have noticed what many have pointed out why a cap on crowns aren't needed. To be honest this is bit doomsday sayer, over blowing what had the potential to make CWF far more interesting for everyone.

Morgan, no matter if it is a video game, golf, table tennis, or chess tournament... The one who puts in the most resources (be it money, time or both) always prevails at the end. Some does require talent, but in general, one cannot get there without spending the time and resources. Thus, there is direct correlation between this game or any other game and Golf or any other sport or activity where there is time and money involved. If you do not put in the time, or invest the money for coaching or what not, you simply will not be as good as the other player.

No one is saying the handicap is a bad thing. It just should be reasonable with a reasonable cap. Having no cap is not right. Also not removing 1 crown at a time when you lose is also night right. If you lose, you should lose a crown so you can be at par with others who are also trying to win.

Also it is not that I have to fight harder to win, it is just feels like this is another mechanism for Tynon to force high end players to spend more money (at least that is what it feels like). This game has a ceiling and there is not much more I can do except wait for new progression.

I am aware it will take many weeks or months to get to the higher crown levels, but rest assured, there are others who are right now coining pretty good to get full judgements, and stars up as well as saint as we speak. Other top players had 5 - 7 items with judgement in the first day when it came out as did I. So there is plenty of lively competition up here with some of the big guns.

WInning CWF multiple times should be enough of a benefit that no additional benefit should be needed.

Many of us do not see this as a nerf.

Lets take Me for example.
I have about 130m power vs PRs 440mish power. Based on boosts form banish and HP. I need a 100% boost to even be equal in power to PR. SO that will take PR winning 8 more times which will be at least 4 months from now. SO in 4 months how much can I power up and how much can PR power up. Well lets see I am not positive how long PR has been building that acct but its been a shorter time period then me. So my guess would be is he would add more power to his acct then I will. But it is possible we could add the same amount if I coined more. BUt Can I add more power then PR in the same time? YES but only if I suddenly coin alot more to catch up. So if that happened then why am I any less deserving then PR? If I spent the money and probably more time since I have been playing this accct since DAY 1 of beta 2 launch, then how am I less deserving?

Given PRs huge lead over 98% of all players, the only way to catch him even with these crowns is to spend as much and work as much as he has and for him to cut back on his acct development.

Now the argument is that PR will hit a ceiling and I could eventually catch up to him with his wins without spending as much or working as hard.

Herby stated he is 75% of the way there. I dont think so. Alot of his equipment is at 50-60. Thats a lot more work to do. Not every hero he has is at 18 stars
Not all heroes are fully sainted. He doesnt have level 10 chips in every slot of every piece of equipment. There is still TONS for him to do. Even if he doubled the amount of money he has invested, I still think it will take several months for him to hit that ceiling. SO in that time the ceiling may get raised. SO he may never be able to hit the ceilling. In that time he may get tired of the game and quit. ALot of things could happen in the 2-4 months it would take a player my size to even come close to catching him even with the boosts from crowns.

Now what about players bigger then me. That is a small amount of players. Who have worked hard and spent a good amount of money on their accts. If they continue to work and can catch PR and win only because of the crown system, then so what. How does that make them less worthy then PR? There is more to being a good player then how much you spent? Players with half the power of other players can get a win in, due to superior skill and knowledge of the game. SO if someone with 250m power now can catch up to PR in a few more cwfs and knock him out because of the crowns, that does not negate their accomplishment.

This is clearly a way to get more people interested in CWF because like I have said in the USA theres only about 8-12 people who care about trying to compete for the finals, now with the crown system maybe 16-24 people care. PR can not spend enough money to keep this game going, it takes the rest of us too. So if this makes a few more player sin each time zone invest a little extra becuase they now feel like they may have a chance to do better in CWF, then good for tynon, good for us all.

Stop thinking because PR spent the most he deserves the win and anything that puts him at a disadvantage is bad for the game.

this analogy would make sense only if you included this. Every time Tiger or Phil won a championship they would also be granted an extra 50 yards on drives, an additional stroke handicap per hole, 2 mulligans per 9 holes, and and an extra person to put for them. All of this each time they win.

Now we begin to see how this after a while makes it impossible for others to compete and now Tiger and Phil will continue to pull farther and farther away negating the competition aspect at all. Now we all just watch because we get a free beer every time they get a birdie and a case when they win the whole thing.

This is what's happening in CW. the crowns will over time give us (my prediction only) about 15-20 different CW winners on any given tournament. and as time goes on the pool will widen. Now more and more people need to spend to outlast the competition, and more and more are able to compete. The crowns will balance themselves out in the long run and increase the pool of competition making the whole event more enjoyable and sustainable. No tweaking necessary because it would ruin the intended effect. If you are still winning with your opponents getting a 25%, 100%, 200% buff, then you have so far outpaced the competition that the whole thing is pointless and you should continue to be massively handicapped. If you lose when your opponent has a 15% boost, then you were pretty close anyway, and now your handicap will be less the next time you play because that person has been given an additional 5% handicap.

Overall anyone who really wants this changed is just upset because they can't run away with the tournament rewards anymore. (just my opinion)

Very very well said! also remember that the chips go up to lvl 15! he has a long way to go to maxing everything out!
