Patch: More Balanced Guild Warfare

It'd be a shame to leave this game since I've invested so much, but I left WoW after 7 years and much more invested, so I don't think many of us will find it that hard to find another source of entertainment.

The ball is in YOUR court. What are you going to do now? Listen to the vast majority, in favor of equity and fairness, or cater to a small minority of non-playing, non-working, non-PAYING whiners who will be all that is left once we who pay decide to leave?

Just like in Evony, after the first mass exodus, several other waves of players leaving ensued, totally devastating every single server.

Seriously....IS THIS WHAT YOU REALLY WANT? Because it is GOING to happen next week, unless you act NOW.

To be honest, I'm completely expecting the final insult from the devs:
Instead of actually fixing any of the (tons of!) problems here, you will simply launch
TYNON II: THE RECKONING or some similar lame B.S.

You can't blame me for believing that. That's exactly what happened with Evony, isn't it?

You must remember that forums are not an adequate representation of game population. Effectively only two types of players even visit any game-forums:
1-- the hardcore players, preoccupied with server domination (at the expense of server population)
2-- those who seek to gripe

Out of the thousands of players on this game, how many bothered to log onto the forums to vote?
about 100. And only half this number if you take away the alts stuffing the vote.
Who will bother to vote? Answer: Only those disappointed enough (about the changes) to log on to the forums. Those who are content with the changes do not frequent the forums, because they're too busy Enjoying the Game.
What we have witnessed already are 9-city guilds losing 1 or 2 cities and subsequently
1-- swearing up a storm, many with threats
2-- getting all their buddies to go to the forums to whine/petition Tynon for their 9th city back "OR ELSE!!!"

It's Tynon's game. They decide how they want to fix the alt problem. They decide how to fix the server-monopoly problem. Meanwhile you can choose to be a part of the solution, as DOZENS of players have offered good to great ideas (many of which have been passed on to the developers through Dawnseeker), or you can choose to ... just whine about the problem.

Meanwhile, cheer up Eeyore! The glass is more than half-full for you. :) You still have more cities than all your opponents combined. Your account isn't deleted (even though some act like it was). You're even at the top. If after all this, you STILL want to throw it all away? Then ..... well ......

i just want to know if neimyra and phatbat and company are able to hold their cities while using quest marias in their form

We can do more than gripe and threaten, but instead be a part of the SOLUTION. Many of us, myself included, have brought forth creative alternatives / adjustments on how to fix the problems, whether they be adjusted math calculations or how to solve the alt-stuffing concerns. Several of these ideas have been forwarded to the Devs by Dawnseeker.

As for myself, I've been soloing vast armies for months and it's boring as f***. So boring that I decided to leave the guild I created and go help out noobs. And guess what? I still soloed the top guild and we took a few cities. Again boring.

With these new changes my guild of 50 noobs (38 showed up for GW) have less population than our two rivals (who have ~70 each), and we lost all our cities. Every single one.
And guess what ... I LOVE IT! :D We have a CHALLENGE again! Something to fight for!
The glass is half full for us. The game is not over for us. It's just beginning! :)

And in the meantime people like myself, Herby, mattp, and more are bringing up ideas on how to *refine* the changes to solve the new challenges it created (such as alt-stuffing).
You can still be right and have the wrong attitude. The only people who are wrong are those who have monopolized their servers and bullied/chased away server population, and now griping about wanting their monopoly back (all 9-10 cities).

If what you say is true, then how is it that you're reading my posts in a negative light and Dawnseeker is reading them in a positive light?

The principle is that ... you will always find what you look for. No matter what is said or stated, whether with a :) or with a :mad:, the interpretation has more to do with the interpreter's mood/outlook/attitude than the message itself.
