I bet
that with all these new accts that are being used for GWF
That some sub 10m power acct makes knockout round 1 in the USA because all they fought were these new accts
Any takers?

What guild needs alts to aid GW?
And I hope they do.
Do it for the lil people.
I can't speak for other servers, but as for our server, the max alts in any guild (that has a city) is about 12 (of 70 ppl). For lesser population guilds, the temptation *is* out there for those guilds to stuff the space with alts to sign up for GW.
It does create some issues in GW. I call it "the wall of Offline" whether sitting at G or A. When you have attacking forces of around 12, and defending forces of 12 but +50 more sitting offline at G, and realize that by the time attackers get to F they're on average 50% durability (50% power +20%) ... 12 attackers at 70% vs 50 defenders at 100% (even if defenders are all down) ... the "Wall of Offline" creates some balance problems making it harder for attackers.
Most defenders with the amount of people you're talking about are defending multiple cities, probably 3-5, so at most they should end up with about 25 members per city, and with 12 actives that's 13 in G for most defenders. Similar scenarios run for attackers, however, it's much easier for attackers to stack a bunch of alts into A and leave a large force of actives defending their other cities and use only a few actives to attack. Trust me, despite what you want this latest patch massively favors attackers and weaker guilds. Also To keep this thread on topic:P I agree with matt. The massive amount of created alts will ensure some rather low power players making the knockouts.
Im pretty sure the algorithm to make top 512 involves playing at least 2-3 rounds of 50m+ players. Also you cant join CW unless youre level 40, dont think most alts are lvl 40, not yet at least.
I would take this bet. There are too many rounds for someone to be that lucky.
I don't know how it works for everyone else but after my 6th or 7th fight all my opponents are always bigger than me and I imagine that is the same for everyone else. So i will take your bet :)
i am getting confused here, some are talking about GW others CW and the OP is talking about both
Actually yes, it is possible for a low account to make it to the knock-outs.
I faced a 10 million 1 last time.
I won 7 straight and lost my 8th, Thats why its the knockout! I made it to stage 3 and lost to griffin last time. Griffith? 7 for 8 so far, Ranked 133
Edit: Got side tracked. I didnt have any heavy hitters till my 8th round.
Also call me crazy. I am ranked 1st in arena. I tend to notice i fight people that also ranked 1st in arena. I always move down in arena before CW Starts. =)
Lowest I found in top512 across the servers was 39million. Anyone find lower?
I almost made it to the knockouts. I was 38M and lost to a 60M (but almost won, damaged him down to 95% every round!). That was the decisive fight, I already had 9 wins.
I doubt we will see alts make it to the knockouts. I guess it could happen, but the odds are really low. If you notice, the more you win, the stronger your enemies are. When you lose, the enemy is easier the next round.
I think it works as follow. For each round you win, you go up a ladder; each round you lose, you go down a ladder. You fight people who are on the same ladder as you are. It's a bit like the tower in Mortal Combats. Alts are unlikely to go up the ladder for very long. They will most likely start fighting among themselves only after 3 or 4 rounds. In the final rounds, execdude is likely to fight pussyriot because they are probably on the same ladder. This is why only one of them gets 13 wins, whereas the others get 12.
Something like that. The smaller players in our guild do get big players, but they never reach far out of the 1k-500 range, whereas larger players are higher with similar wins. I know I was in top 50, but drop quite a bit with a loss. Which is good, it needs to have some system.
