Maria / Physical Attack + Skill Attack

Coldlunar has vengeance on his Maria. Is it only to boost power (i.e. show off) or does it actually help her? I don't have Maria, but I just found it strange.

It shouldn't have any effect, and sometimes people leave unnecessary runes because lack of rune space.

True, but why not put Messiness instead? What if he fights someone with Aphrodite or Shayd? It can actually help.

Why not put Resistance? It helps mitigate damage.

It is also possible that the 3 divine runes are on all their toons to just simplify the hero swaps. I intend to do that as well.
