Banish and rag are the only 2 events that when originally implemented helped you get a larger income the further you advanced in the game. Now rags rewards are small but you can get bigger rewards in hat as you progress through the game. Banish until the cap worked this way. The cap has ended this. All it has done is slowed progress down for many.
I want you all to realize how punitive any cap is.
Before the cap my realm was not close to to triggering 6.25b banish we were still several weeks away from doing so. The top 3 in the realm of 40-60 player sin a banish did about 35-40% of the damage. Now we could trigger it but dont bother to do so - since its pointless. And at this point the top 3 do 65-80% of the damage. Now the top 2 players are a week or 2 from unlocking second sub. when we do the top 3 will do 70-90% of the damage. As you can see all this is doing is making it so smaller players get less and less and less.
But removing the cap and we move on to splitting 625m coins between the realm helps alot.
Yes the top players are going to be getting 100m coins a banish.
but the smaller players are going to get 5 times the coins and creds. Allowing them to power up and catch up to that max banish damage point.
There is only so much damage one player can do in a round, an due to all the limiting factors in place - nooone will probably ever see true max possibility of said damage. I dont think anyone has even come close. Even if you think you have - you probably havent. But besides the point there is a limit. And even hitting that limit when you are capable is hard cuz of stun factors and other things.
So noone is going to run away with banish because of all those coins and creds. They will due to coining but not from the coins and credits trust me on this. So after a few weeks the smaller players are all doing more damage per round, making it take less and less rounds, limiting how much damage the top players can do and their share of the pie gets smaller and smaller. And within 2 months they are doing maybe double what they used to get in a 1.25b banish and be wanting a 31.25b banish
NOw the other option is to remove teh cap and make a 2.5b banish then a 3.75 then a 5, then a 6.25b all w/o caps allowing for a much slower progression of income
