Mid-Week Madness Needs to Go

I have what I think would be a good idea for replacing the now useless Mid-Week Madness. Keep the name Mid-week Madness name, but have it be half price off ALL Fair items. We can all agree the majority of things in there (cards namely) are overpriced, this would make them SOMEWHAT viable as options. If people feel this is too much of a gift to the players, they could make it only be the "common item" that can be changed for 5 gems is the only half price thing.

Reason why this is good. It doesn't conflict with Tuesday credit spending or Thursday coin spending, but it allows gemmers to either buff their coins/creds some more for thorsday, makes stars that much nicer to buy, and makes things a little more enticing to players.

My question to Dawn is, do people buy a lot of cards from fair? Chips? If not why not lower prices, so we actually have something to spend gems on without blowing $100 on a freaking card. Is Wednesday still viable beyond the first couple weeks in a new server? Anyone else have ideas for Wednesday?

No ideas for Wed, but totally agree that MidWeek Madness has been very dead for a long time. I saw 1 purchase of a chest today. Putting all those resources in Fair for 100 gems makes the chest available outdated. You can get a lot more in fair than to buy them. Most Wednesdays I don't even see 1 bought. Replace it with something.

Considering Im in 117, theres only 3 (now 4) servers newer than mine. I haven't seen a chest bought since the new fair upgrades, so no they're not useful for even a new server. Theres at any point a 100 gem coin/credit available in the fair thats slightly better to TWICE as good than a mid-weep chest in any point in time.

Also how can you defend something thats debatably good for the first couple weeks of a server, and is then useless? Do thursdays ever become useless to a server? Saturday? Sunday? Tuesday? No they're all STILL useful even for Server 1, because they GROW with the players, Wednesday stagnates when players become more profitable in many other ways. Whats to defend? Why do you still assume players buy chests even on newer servers? Newer players aren't gonna spend more than 100-400 gems on coins in a day, so why should they need another option beside the fair?

I do like double frags idea, at the moment you have another option to use your creds in an efficient way beside thors day, and that would allow for another efficient way to use your coins.

XYZ players save up their coins ALL week for (Wednesday double frag day)
saving 200m, 400m some up to 800m...
Then having to spend 1.5 hours, 3 hours, or 6 hours in ONE SINGLE DAY just to rune all the coins they have. 8 hour job + 6 hour Tynon-runing = not a fun ordeal.

Have you ever spent 500mil at a time in the temple? (~4 hours). Been there, done that. After the first 100mil your eyes begin to drowse ... then after 300m you're about to eat keyboard *faceplant*. I'm Grateful I no longer need the frags and just do Synergia now.

True. I did not think of that. Then double chance of scrolls min the Lab maybe, or an increase in the sainting odds, but not double. that would be too much.

I agree about the chest vs fair part and Yes I saw somebody purchase 1 chest yesterday, the words immediately came out "Rookie". My actual thoughts for the most part are unless a new person is planning on becoming a heavy coiner to begin with, the Mystery Chest's will do them no good and they will buy one and learn from others with more experience to go to the shrine or the fair first. Perhaps a Wednesday sale at Ruby Stonefield that involves coins and credits for a change? It could be more appealing to the new players that need that one little chip to merge into a larger more useful chip. Then again I have no clue what would be best at this point. One thing I would like to see is a new or exsisting place to either purchase or win scroll frags beside's the Casino.

It mainly the noobs who buy this in the newer servers

So since they are called Mystery chests to begin with maybe a 3rd choice that is simular to a 10x spin in casino giving you a mix of goods and the possibility of a leader card, mount card, scroll or scroll frag, stars, etc. etc. etc.?
