I feel it is needed now, not in 3 to 6 months to be honest.

So essentially you will be unlocking an entirely new game???
Why not just ask uCool to make a brand new game then??
Think about it, what do you do when everything is done? GO play another game, so instead lets start a new game that follows some of teh same ocncepts, but can make new rules, new heroes new ideas, etc.
For example
In this new world i propose magic would be the theme of it. SO our heroes no longer use skill attacks and therefor need no morale. Instead most heroes have 1 physical attack, whose damage can only be increased by upping the weapon level. During combat they build up magic energy(like we do now with morale) and when they have enough they unleash a magical ability/attack. Every hero's magic ability would be unique hopefully.
Examples of these magical attack/abilities include:
increased defense for party for 3 rounds
increased offensive power for party for 3 rounds
heal party
stun opponent
direct damage attack
reduce opponents offensive damage for 3 rounds
reduce opponents defense for 3 rounds
etc etc
each one of these abilities/attacks has a % to succeed or fail
you can only improve it with 6 pc sets of armor (so instead of getting morale retention - you get better chance your magic attack actually works)
Now this is just one way we can take the basic concept of tynon and aerie and switch things up a bit. SO yes its a new game, its an expansion pack. you can only access it by completing the first game AERIE
Many things could be changed around and mixed up slightly to give us a whole new game that still feels very familiar so taht its not an entirely new game.
This concepts elevates some of the monotony of what we have been doing over and over and over again. Hopefully they could take everything they learned in Aerie and how fast people progressed, how they progressed, what was relied upon and what was ignored, to make the new world(s) more challenging and more strategy based.
YET at the same time preserves the integrity of the current game for those who have not finished it and allows them to finish it the same way others have. plus the have something to look forward to after completing Aerie. It also removes the power players form Aerie - which I would think reinvigorate many of the next tier of players - getting them more involved and more interested in the game so they invest in it more.
Plus this could motivate some, who have been stagnated on other servers to decide to be the next exec/blayd/avalari and start Aerie fresh on a new server an ddo it all over again- since they will not have that top top elite tier to compete with now.
It is more complicated then just asking for a new game. but that is part of it
Wouldn't really be Tynon, it would be something else entirely.
Edit: Oh I see, you are proposing Tynon Age 2 ;)
sort of - i look at it as an expansion pack.
Look at the quest line we have now
we beat the big boss already.
we didnt even need a second sub to really do it.
To me it feels like we are at end game... so adding new content to it seems next to pointless.
Instead lets start over, throw out what we have, but keep it store din aerie so we can keep playing aerie if we feel the need. And put the time of new content development onto a whole new begining middle and end. Where we can play with the same people who are at our level now, and new people from other servers. Like it would be funny as hell to see how me blayd and herby all got along with a fresh start on a new server with new things to do. Would any of us team up or would we all fight each other?
SO my proposal is - instead of DRAGGING out the Aerie story line which feels pretty much like its Done to me. Start over change things up a bit, make it fresh - so its some of the old mixed with new ideas and concepts, and lets do it all over again.
Starting over feels like throwing out too much work. Not really an expansion if it doesn't have anything to do with your old stats.
Personally I would just keep playing the old tynon since I don't want to rebuild an account. For your idea to be any good, a lot of people must want to move on... (shall we start a poll?)
Edit:
Perhaps as a new game, you could remodel the old one to include markets / free trade, etc. This means a number of changes:
No stamina (yay for farmfest)
No autolevel
Less daily rewards (rewards mainly based on farming)
...
(probably other things I'm missing, but basically make alts non-abusable and maybe even allowed)
Ok so i see how many people are seeing this idea as starting over. And I dont want it to be a true start over. The more I think about this, there has to be some carry over, but at the same time new things to do then just KILL ALL MONSTERS quests.
So in this new world we would carry over certain things like your main hero, your chips, your runes ( but some runes would be made useless in this new world - say if we used my idea of replacing skill attacks with a magical attack, then skill runes and morale runes would be useless) You talents could carry over. But in the new world you would need more then what you had in Aerie. You will need new types of runes, new things taht add or change abilities, totally different heroes, different types of armor that gave different types of bonuses.
So as example with runes
if we did it with replacing skill attacks with a magic attack we dont need venegence really. but you still need it for your physical attack. BUt in this new world there is a new rune that is a pumped up bane that starts at +14k physical attack and goes up wards to max at level 12 at say 25 or 26k physical attack. But it would not need 400m coins to get to level 2. it would be much more realistic maybe 1.5 to 2x times the amount needed to level bane. SOP at level 12 its takes 400-500m coins to get to level 12 at the most. Or instead of it being a new rune, its a whole new system where you can add skills and attack/defensive power to your heroes.
Now the beauty of this system is. That rune would be nice in aerie, but its main purpose is to be use din the new world.
Theres so much that can be carried over, while leaving some behind requiring you to need new things in the new world. New strategies, new abilities, new heroes, new things to do. Instead of banish we have something else that isnt a "how many stuns can you land this round" thing. Its a continuation of the game without changing the original game allowing for new things to happen that would throw off the balance of the original game. Becuase I believe blayd and others made a great point. Why invest in aerie to just throw that investment away to start ALL OVER in a new game? That would be silly. SO there needs to be some carry over. Maybe in the new world the mounts can learn an ability, or there are no multihitters, or we only have 4 heroes in form with no subs. The new world and each additional world can have slightly different rules to make the game seem fresh and make you think out new strategies and you need the things you built up in aerie to survive in the new world. While the original game stays intact. Otherwise this game ends at some point. WHo wants to be saving up 1b coins to level 1 rune form 14 to 15 while having a banish cap? You can only do so much with the system that is in place. SO let that system have an end, then take some of that and build upon it for a new system to enjoy.
In teh new world you can make anything possible, say for example
only the main hero gets to go there
or
only title heroes can go there no RA heroes no Maria - and in the new world you get to recruit through a similar system to RA new heroes with unique abilities suited for the new world.
In the new world the heroes you bring form aerie now get their skill attack as the physical attack and learn a new skill attack or use a magical attack instead.
There are so many ways to take what we have, tweak it and change it, drop some of it off, keep some of it and create a whole new world to play when you reach the end of aerie, which I feel for many of us, we have either gotten to the end or there maybe 1 last major update to play.
I would probably give it a try. Sounds like it could be fun if properly implemented. Huge gamble for Tynon though.
