I expect an Australia day package will be next. Then the rest of non US Country holidays.
Also, lets change Baal/Cerb/Rag/CW times to be more US friendly, who cares about the rest of the world.
Yeah if it weren't for the US the world be rule by Nazis and Commies and Vampires.
What's Memorial Day for? lol
Well that escalated quickly. Isnt Tynon based in California? At least thats what all the PayPal stuff says. They had Valentines Day packages... didnt think that was the entire world either.
Valentines day is pretty much most of the vesternised World, memorial day is not - but if it gives cheap gems i guess we can celebrate it :p
The civil war resulted in lots of soldiers being buried where they fell. Graves went unvisited and no one put flowers on them since the families were sometimes hundreds of miles away. The widows of these soldiers decided that they would visit the graves of these soldiers and place flowers on them so no soldier went on forgotten even the ones of the enemy. This seemed to be important since the enemy was our neighbors and their sons. So once a year on Memorial day we visit graves of those fallen and place flowers or flags to remember their sacrifice. It is most certainly American and more of a somber occasion than a holiday. However it has become a time for us to celebrate the beginning of summer as well, usually with the first BBQ of the season.
you shouldn't need to have an excuse to spend your money, just buy one of the existing packages or call greed by its name and ask for some better deal ;)
It's Memorial Day in the US and Whitsun in the UK.
Same day this year but both have very different origins. Whitsun's other name is Pentecost, it's a Christian festival which isn't celebrated these days.
