This is probably to late of a reply to add to this conversation but.....
For the Second of the two Mals, Mal 2 (twins) I used General Alcibiades instead of Rhize of the above formation by WildFlower, although you can use Rhize or Saffron if they are leveled up high enough. My Alci was Angel 1 with 9 or 10 stars.
I didn't have my Second Sub yet so... I had started up my second subs Sword it was around Level 70. I took the spare sword and the rest of Maria's gear and put it on Khan my sub, took my Main's gear and put it on Gen. Alcibiades, same with runes.
My formation was mirrored to WildFlowers's formation above.... (If you are fighting the first Mal it would be WildFlower's Formation above although I used just QP, Adam, Herja, Maria, Main and Alci as my sub to beat the first Mal)

You must have all your Vengence, Endurance, Advantage, Preciseness, Nimbleness Runes up to 12 (Except for Endurance on QP, it was at 11 so that Mal would hit her first)
***Please Note: To use my above formation you must have a spare sword partially leveled up and a Spare Vengence, Advantage and Resistance Runes (Only need spare Resistance if you don't have one on your Mage) Leveled up to 12.***
I used this swap (with the spare sword) for heroics too till I got my Second Sub, which was after getting the Sirius Chestguard.. As I didn't want to fight Ezikiel until I had finished leveling up his Gear and Runes, I had all his gear made and partially leveled up before Mal 2, then for Mal 2 I had to Level up a Vengence and Advantage Rune to 12 so I could swap out the mains Runes for Maria's Runes, swapping out Intensiveness and Flintiness for the Vengence and Advantage Runes I leveled up. Then you can follow the practice fights in Heroics.
This has worked for several people in my guild, so I hope it works for you too... Take Care GS

This fight was quite different from the first. I built Maria up more, so that my main stuck around. I did NOT need a sub to defeat Mal2, and had my original heroes alive at 93%

QP would take the gutshot most of the time, GK was there for backup. QP and GK had nimbleness and resistances at lvl 11, the others had nimbleness lvl 10. I had my Maria heal ~68k, that is more than malme's attack, so the room for sucky RNG was bigger. My biggest problem was I didn't have enough damage so I got him to 97-98% quite often, then finally a few more crits landed and bam!
