Anyone want to buy my leader cards for 300 gems a piece?

Yep, this is what this forum would be if they would let people trade their stuff.
Make the game more interesting and competitive.

hell no
what makes this game so enjoyable is that its without all that painfull drama and 95% of the drama is based on trades and butthurt 12 year olds or exploiters who try to "sell" cheap/free stuff to their alt accounts
Even if not trade with other players, sellback should be an option. Mounts for example, once you get your next one, you don't go back - so why not sell back that bear or rhino for the smaller players that are just now getting up to the title they can get one??!! Of course they have been gone since they were made to benefit us!! The bears went the first day, the others all gone now, only 3 per realm is not enough since there is NO way for anyone to EVER get one now. What motivation is it for the poor smaller players?? I don't know, but the Dev's have odd ways of showing they want people to stay and play. And don't give me the "rare" excuse, because to me, since it's tied to title like heroes, you should have an opportunity to get one without spending an obscene amt of gems.
Then there are all the other stuff we collect along the way..
trading will allow people to get more engaged into the game.
there is drama regardless of trading.
creating an economic system is key to longevity.
No the way you describe it. It would only add to the rampant cheating with alts.
Maybe an in-game mechanic were you can trade materials at a 5 to 1 rate? Tynon wins by gaining more than they give and players can trade unwanted materials clogging inventory space to materials they can use immediately.
all games have alts. I don't think there is one game where people do not have alts. In WOW I had an alt follow my main to duo instances, Everquest i had a powerful healer alt to heal my main, in Diablo I had alts galore, goes on and on.
Alt is not the issue.
Trading increases the game fun factor and gets players more engaged. It is what can make a game "more addictive".
Having an alt can go both ways so at the end it all balances out.
But being able to trade has more positive than negative.
I'd love to sell my blue stars to people who are struggling and have been struggling for many months.
Sell hard to get plans like relic plans, etc.
Once item is crafted it can become account bound. The possibility is endless on how it can be implemented.
But one thing for sure, there would be a lot of people on the trading forum. :)
Sorry Riot but if all other servers have the same issue, (looking through these forums suggest they do), of alts decimating game play, then a player trade option will allow those that do abuse the game mechanics with alts to abuse it even more. The only positives you mention will be short term positives and eventually the game will be over run with rotten apples.
If Tynon controlled the trade as in player A trades to Tynon, player B trades from Tynon, then i can see trade being an option in the future but player to player trade should never be implemented until the alt issue is seriously addressed.
I see your point Drey. However, I am winning to bet that trading will also make people with powerful mains get more powerful since you would have to spend gems or money to buy more gems to trade others. I am not sure people with a lot of alts would want to spend all the money on alt accounts. If the mains get stronger, maybe alts won't make as much of an impact.
People who invest in their main account would most likely be the people who spend gems to trade from other players of anything that is of high value. I can see the low level stuff being sold to alts.
I just think that by having trading it would give people more choices and control as well as more fun.
I used to play a game that encouraged alts and had the economic system you are describing. It was great since there was no way to abuse the alts (except some people botting, but that was heavily combatted). There was no huge daily bonuses that made it so alts gave you an advantage earning money; they were just to try a variety of classes and combinations.
I think before any trading idea is implemented, other large changes need to be made. Also with system wide trade, you could start off on a new server with the best gears if you ever wanted to switch servers...
