Tynon is dying, what would they populate a new server with?
If they open new servers and merge old ones, more players would start to play.
I would assume by now word has reached most gamers that This game is a mess. Too many unfixed bugs and glitches. Way overpriced for what players can get. Not keeping up with new content to keep the top players interested and investing. Allowing numerous alt guilds and alts to drive many people away from the game. Etc. etc etc.
Server 129 seems to be doing fine. That is the most recently released server. S126,127 and 128 weren't advertised, so it is understandable that they aren't doing well.
Tynon is practically a dead game now. People are leaving and its very few new people starting up on the new severs, mainly it seems to be some of the smaller players on the older servers starting again, plus a few of the big spenders.
It is very noticeable on the earlier servers that fewer and fewer are playing because the lack of new content means there is nothing to do. Basically the game is stagnant and boring.
Reality is, there are too few people playing the game. The F2P market is very competitive now, not like it was a few years ago. It's a business decision - do you spend more money on development and marketing when you already know you won't be able to grow the player base enough to matter? Better to cut costs and try to recoup the initial cost of development. It's a reality that we all hate to believe is true, but we know it to be :(
Our server has had a merge already, before the merge we had possibly 30 players, after the merge it increased dramatically, which at the time was great. We are now down to approximately 60 fulltime players. Yes we need another merge, preferably to an older server with more stable players.
Absolutely true, we need more content, we could do with a GW same as CW (preferably without the bugs, and bidding by alt guilds), with more cities and rewards.
More content and mergers with more stable servers.
Just an thought, merge 3 servers that have guilds over level 5 or 6 (can't get to level 6 without active players, or lvl 5 with alts) that way they would have active players, in strong guilds competing for rewards in GW and CW.
I'm not talking about individual server population. I'm talking about overall total of active Tynon players. Merging some low population may get some people on those servers to spend a little, but won't bring in new players. The overall total number of Tynon players is just too small.
What baffles my mind is why so many people create thousands of toons on every server only to never play them. On both the servers I play on, there is at least 3000 to 4000 toons just sitting in arena with under 30k power.
And if CW is any indication, a low power toon I created usually ends up a round 6000-7000 in ranking in CW and that toon usually has 4 or 5 wins. Assuming the absolute bottom of the barrel at 0 wins is around 10000 or so... That means there are 10000 players active enough to sign up for CW. 10000/129 servers = less than 100 players active enough to sign up for CW per server.
yes to new game content all the way, but thats not the point here.
most important would be to merge the servers, i dont care about guilds, look at server pop. merge 3 entire servers into one server in one realm each. start with the most active servers and finish with the smaller ones, three at a time. if the population seems too large, let them even do their own GW like on servers 1-10 in each realm. this maybe not the best solution but on our server for example is like 5 dedicated and committed players, another 20-30 actives that are playing on multiple servers and maybe another 20 (all guesstimates) that play occasionally a few times a week and like 3k accounts generated and dead. i am pretty sure most other servers look like that or worse. we all should agree on that something drastic has to be done and i am pretty sure the server expansion beyond the actual players needs to be blamed. what worked for evony doesnt work here because its a lot less players with a much smaller staff (if any other staff is involved). i am aware they are doing it to generate players and can say "hey look we have 1m players". the biggest problem with this is that maybe half of those 1m players are listed for example on 100 different servers and are playing 2-5 servers at once. so your 1m count then shrivels fast down to maybe 50k and those all dont have to be active.
dont forget that if they wanted actual counts they would do email verifications and delete accounts that havent been played for 6 months after email verification (this would also solve the alt problem). but they dont, they need the email, real and fakes and the phantom players to show their "large" playerbase and generate revenue with it.
True the player base is quite small, so why Tynon feels the need to open new servers while the ones that they have now are all failing due to falling numbers is very....unusual.
That is why I was suggesting merging several servers that have a small number of players with high level guilds.
Thereby reducing the number of servers operating, meaning more savings for Tynon and some competition among the current players,
because we are doing as much as the devs working for Tynon, 2/3 of 5/8 of sweet F.A :D.

Too true, we only have 5 active guilds but there are 298 guild names, 25 of them actually have more than 1 player, which leaves 20 Alt guilds.
There are a total of 3905 players on our server, but as I said before possibly 60 fulltime players.
Hence the reason to merge active servers, with active players.
I always thought that opening new servers was a way for old players to start over. They want to hit the top, so they think along the lines of 'this time I know what to do'... and spend money early on to get a head start. This also might explain why so many people ditch the server early on... just testing if it's a server they could win in.
Yup this statement for what I know of F2P market is true. Although no one can really know what uCool's real business plan is we can only merely speculate.
Sadly PewPew's statement is probably closest to the truth and why server mergers in the main aren't working. The last set of mergers was approximately 4 months ago and yet we have someone who's server has merged but the player base has already dropped to almost that of their original server.
None of us can know what the future will bring and all we can do is patiently wait and see.
It was often the mistake that people blamed alts for the decline of Evony. In a way they did ruin the game but not in the way you think. Yes there are far less players in Evony than there were in it's golden age and whereas alts/bots played a part most of those who left just got bored with the game.
The difference here in Tynon is that there was a much smaller player base to begin with. Alts will never help but there aren't enough active players either.
True, and server merges is the way to concentrate the player base, but the first attempt failed miserable because the players with the alts quickly overpowered the other players that then got frustrated and quit. I do have some ideas on how to fix the impact that alts have in the game, but it would mean telling what exploit each change would affect and that is against the forum rules.
Or its Guild Warfare. Change the Guild Warfare, remove the buffs attached to cities and the problems will be reduced. As soon as a guild becomes dominant the other guilds slowly fade away and kills the server. Low population, bad guild buff/GW system are really why this game hasn't done so well.
I will most likely be the last player left in the game, too addicted to quit
I think alts are not the biggest problem in the game. I played other games like wartune and league of angels, and you have a lot of things to do. You can play for several hours and you'll still have things to do. I think every player would like new functions in the game, new kind of battles, maybe an group event 3 players x 3 players, in a specific time. New guild events would be nice too. Guild x Boss or Guild x Guild... Just focusing the alt problem will make the game boring for old players. I think its important too have new functions and events implemented every month, maybe every 2 weeks. And please, think about create new servers and merge old ones... I really wont spend a lot of money in a server if there are players 15kk+ power... And old players will not keep spending money in a dead server.
yes, come on
yep, you and me both. i think they like to keep the alts around for revenue purposes. i mean if they remove only 50% of the alt accounts, it gives a significant cut and they cant impress anymore with how "popular" the game is. my guess is that if the game really becomes popular and players start to flock here they would start removing those alts to make space for real players.
Merging too many servers too quickly will kill the game, smaller players will quit with too many people they cant catch.
Ucool have moved back to developing evony more again, with the imminent release of ********, they know they cant compete.
Not seen a response from them here for ages, says it all to me.
i remember from years ago in my first days of evony they had email confirmation and requested again when you tried to change passwords or requested customer service... i am not surprised that they removed it for the above mentioned reasons.
thats the point, its dead already! players are getting tired of no new content and thousands, literally thousands of dead accounts and are trying to cover it up with all the above mentioned reasons.
dont get me wrong here, i love the game, i see the potential, i have invested money, but its really time for them to staff up and take care of the "black sheep"
Like any game its only what you make it.
If you chose to coin to get ahead and reach the limits, then dont moan theres no new content.
What percentage of active accs are actually ready for new content??
Ive coined a bit, still have some things to do, like beat ezek(im close), and beat 2nd malme quest boss which is looking more like 2nd sub is required.
I could drop some money in and finish it now, but whats the point?
When enough people have reached the limit new content will come, or just b4 they release the christmas sale packs ;)
Oh and if u believe all the accs on each server you can see in arena are all player created accs, then i pity you.
If tynon didnt add fake accs, each server would look empty at the start, last new server i tried, i started bang on the release time, and had already 2k accs :/
thats just a low blow.
i for example pride myself on being the current leading player on my server by spending less than 10% of what most others in the top 5 spent (according to them $2-5k). i have reached the end of the current game content a while ago and am hoping it will be anytime soon and not for christmas. i asked another guild mate of ours that started late march who is colse to beating the golden dragon in HR but understandably is missing significant power and spent $40 (!!!) so far into the game.
credit cards is not everything when you develop a passion for the game and then throwing out stuff like "you can only be good if you spend a lot" is not only a lie but also an insult to everyone else who enjoys the game and didnt spend a small car on it.
you have to realize that the game is dying off because of no new content and because others are catching up to fast.
makes sense because again: they need to keep the server pop up to hide the fact that its going down.
Starting new servers for new players is one way to increase numbers, BUT the older dying servers should or must be merged to continue.
Thanks to our Uber guild the number of players in our server is dropping rapidly. MERGE OR DIE.
I have reached the end. Got ezek, can't get enough mats for syrius gear, so just holding my 6 spirits till I get enough. Have reached 800+ in all Labs...
Absolutely nothing let to do except dailies....BORED, BORED, BORED
But on the subject of Alts, our Uber guild in forest realm has now started to dump players, when asked why...silence is the stern reply.
But it seems that the only other guilds in forest realm are Alt Guilds controlled by the Uber guild.
TOO FUNNY and we only have 25 guilds over 3 realms, 6 in Forest.
MWAHAHAHAHA This game is absolutely Removed
