i had a chat with wildflower a while back. we noticed we had both similar formations (@lost: herja=ezk, no difference in banish):

how it differentiated was on the subs: one was using cianna and thuc, the other had pomp and shayd. the idea on the second is that either way you usually get 30 rounds or close to it, so it only matters on how to max your damage within the given 30 rounds. adding pomp combined with his ability to crit gives very inconsistent results.
for example (on the 1.25b banish at 80% buff), with one setup i do 1-4% and with the other setup i do 1-7%, averaging 2-3% on each depending on at what time pomp gets killed. riot is right here that in many cases the average seems to come out to the same result. personally i prefer the more consistent damage, however with the other (more risky and inconsistence form) i have done on occasions more than double compared to second place but also once almost didnt get first.
I am just a little fish but I read in the forum somewhere that during Banish's you should strip all defensive runes and put offensive runes. If you do this how will it help you? Does it make that much of a difference? The whole point of Banish is to get as much damage as possible? Is this correct? So by changing ur runes would it be possible to achieve the billions of damage that you all are talking about? I am still learning this game but would like to know how the big fish think? Thanks for answering this little fish questions.
i assume thats for lower levels like you. for example if you put adept, bane, advantage, morale, infalability, (maybe vitality for pomp), then thats 5 attack runes and when you have only 6 slots for example then its not a rune setup you would normally have. at our levels however the runesetup is assumed at 8 open slots and most here posting have endurance+vengance and or reliability already on.Quote:

sorry guys but I need some help if you can. I am level 109 and from the day I take my 2 Justice Spirits and up-grade some of my runes and blacksmith I loose all my power at Banish . i use Lanc. one of the reasons for loosing damage (not power, and i assume thats what you meant) is often when players upgrade the preciseness on their shayd and dont have full light or higher on their main. what happens is if shayd stuns the first round the main skills. if then the boss stays in stun, the second hit from the main (or other heroes) stacks up the bosses morale. up to the point where the boss wipes out the entire party in round 3 or 4 prematurely leaving you with a lot less damage.Quote:

i dont know your gear and cant decipher your setup, but what i was trying to say is that when not all your melee heroes have a lightbringers set then you will have one of them stacking up the bosses morale while its in stun. when you change your runes so the heroes hit better, miss less, etc and keep the boss longer in stun then that chance of one hero stacking up the bosses morale will be raised.Quote:

now if you would please take your time and read the previous posts and find out for yourself why this is particulary bad and outdated (especially after ciannas nerf), i dont want to go into detail again. however, if a hero doesnt have a lightset you can easly compromise by adding temporarily other heroes and do more damage to compromise for the missing stuns, as for example:
herja blood xxx
xxx main xxx
xxx lance shayd
sub pomp
this is just an example how you can rock the banish with just 2 light sets (or higher). take a look at the previously suggested forms from blayd, myself and others and you will see what i meant

EDIT: you can also compensate for most of it by advancing your main hero to the front (xxx xxx main) so he will skill and then be killed right after.

IS thucy better than shayd is stunning?? And even when i try his form out and we have pretty much the same exact runes he's doing 1-2 % more than me. I watched his Cianna hit 70% of the time and mine hits 10% Yet like I said same runes. Hit rating is about the same. Crit is about the same.. only dif is he has more power than me but not that much more.. so basically at the end he gets 15-20 milllion morein gold on a 1.25 billion banish
i my mind shayd stuns better than thucy, significantly. but he does 2-3 times the damage AND gets a fair amount of crits. both your forms you stated are just fine, i would just move the stunner from the top right to the top center, so your aphro can hit first.

If you don't have full LB set on everyone, but you have some, you can put pompei or bloodstorm in your form (or both) to "complete" your full LB set formation, as they skill each round whether they have it or not. You can also make sure your main dies first after he hits first so that he doesn't use an incomplete full LB set.
Rhize and Penth have good damage, but not as much as Lance or Pompei. If you have them, use them instead.
You can use Thucidydes, a blue hero, to add more stunners. He is easy to star up and saint up (easier than Cianna). You can try to pick critical hit sanctifications on him as well.
