I think you're missing out on the fact that it is an open PvP encouraged area. While I could not get into the Obsidian Palace I was able to get about 10million in coins and around 7 million in credits PvPing other people in the area
Don't let progressing through the Palace be your only reason for going there. Think of all the Runes you can buy/upgrade with 10 million coins!! RUNES!!!!

We have a 3 way tie for first at the moment.
Update... we got nothing for top 10............. is there no prize?
