Serious Inconsistency

Ok, here goes, so earlier today i am in Pirates, i see this noob sitting there on the boat. I will NOT let me attack them. Some crap about picking on weaker players, makes sense, go on about my business. Well, imagine my surprise, when i hear my wife start yelling and cussing, because someone who is 11 levels higher and 5x stronger than her stole her map piece. Here is the big question. Why was i not able to hit a noob, but my noob wife got her piece stolen by a WAY higher level player? Don't really seem that's too fair.

Are you sure you wouldn't be able to hit him? What error did it say? Because in pirates, is free-for-all.

I am pretty sure it said that player is not a valid target, or something similar to that.

I'm not sure on this, but maybe Shield works during pirates as well?

Shield is not suppose to work in pirates...are you positive you didn't have a map already or were on an attack cool down?

Ya I am sure, that was the firt thing i did was double check make sure i wasn't holding a map piece. However, have noticed Pirates been really buggy the last few days, so that could be what is causing the problem, hell maybe th guy wasnt there anymore and it just lagged i dont know.
