I don't think bumping a post to get a response regardless of how helpful the response is, is spam, most people would be happy with " it's under investigation" or to at least acknowledge the fact the bug is known, such amateur service.

Bumpung is spam and against forum rules. Here's an extract.

Repetitive posts in the same thread or different threads with no constructive value
Post bumping, including bumping old posts (called 'necroing')

Referring to locked or deleted threads
Posts attempting to bait, trick or force others to become angry or break the forum rules
Posts or any other actions intended to be disruptive
Creating threads with titles in all caps or using symbols or excessive punctuation
Creating petition threads for any reason
