Not gaining spirits

So I know now I'm never going to get a good hero. That's fine.

I weathered the fact that the game doesn't teach you enough of what you need to know. Example: you flip over cards at the tavern, but the first 'card' you are likely to see is at the fair, and it doesn't give you the hero. I'm furious at having an effectively useless card for near 300 gems...

But what really galls me more than anything else is the spirit at the tavern. "By each refresh there will be a chance of Purple or Golden Heroes appearing, when they d you will gain Spirits which can be redeemed for Heroes."

500 per. Okay, insane amount, but fine....

But....I'm staring at Valla, again, and my spirits didn't go up at all.

I really feel as if this game is built to frustrate me, and I'm wondering why I'm doing this to myself.

did you press "Refresh" or waited on the timer to refresh?

No, that's not true, you gain spirits for every appearance in every refresh, not just the credit-bought ones.

Starting with beta I have never received any spirit credit from the 2 hour auto refresh...not a single one.

Mostly that's because the 2 hour refresh doesn't start unless you open the Tavern menu.
Basically, per time you see 1:59:00 or before on the countdown, you only refresh once.
Doesn't mean you don't get spirit for the off chance that one refresh contains a spirit giving option.

You get a spirit every second time that a purple (or better) card shows up in your tavern.

You get no spirits if they are all white/blue, regardless of refreshes.

Well, as I stated in my OP -- Valla was on screen, I of course didn't get her, and I didn't get any spirits. She also isn't white or blue.

I do not get spirits when a gold or purple appears on an auto (2 hours and then go to the tavern) refresh. There must be something wrong.

I will say it more clearly: I keep track of ALL of my spirit points. I have NEVER opened tavern and gotten any ADDITIONAL spirits, regardless of how many legends were showing (in regards to the auto refresh)...It has been this way, for me at least, since my first day on Beta.

The only time I have EVER gained spirit points is if I MANUALLY refresh, i.e. pay credits.

Can we get some technical support from the developers here please?

When are we supposed to get the spirits in the tavern? The wiki says "Because the odds are actually not 1 in 5 of obtaining the card you want, everytime a purple or gold card is in the deck. you receive 2 spirit. " This implies that you are supposed to get it no matter how the deck is refreshed.

Do we have a bug or is the wiki wrong?
