Thread: VIP upgrade miss-information

    VIP upgrade miss-information

Very, very, very dissappointed in the 'Tynon Blurb' about VIP Upgrades.

VIP2 to VIP3 implies you can open additional Blacksmith or Talent queues. (VIP1 to VIP2 doesn't unlock anything - even though the blurb says it does)

    HA!!

Once you have paid for a/the VIP upgrade - suprsie suprise - you then have to use your Gems to unlock the queues - NOT NICE!! - yet more MONEY-GRABBING ploys. (I'm pretty sure that this breaks advertising rules and regulations, and also opens you up to legal repercussions).

If this had been a 'free beta' so peeps could test (saving YOU time and money) - but highlight progress/improvement etc we would then be more informed as to the amount we'd have to spend (real money) on the live version.

Technically you are spending on the live version, when the game goes live you will receive all gems and VIP status that you buy during the beta

    Yes - I understand that.

My issue is (and please look and check)

    VIP1 to VIP2 Upgrade STATES:

    VIP2 Advantages:

    1. A 3rd slot in the Talent Queue will be unlocked for use!

    NO IT DOESN'T!!!!

    VIP2 to VIP3 Upgrade STATES:

    VIP3 Advantages:

    1. A 3rd slot in the Blacksmith Queue will be unlocked for use!

    NO IT DOESN'T!!!!

You have to spend another 200 Gems to get it unlocked

This is not stated BEFORE you upgrade, and should be part of the upgrades - AS IT SAYS IT WOULD DO

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    What it should say is:

Upgrade from VIPx to VIPy, then you can spend the Gems you paid for to unlock the features you THOUGHT you were getting (Ha Ha Ha)

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, you did unlock it. If you aren't a VIP2 you can't unlock that second queue at all....

It's all in the wording, my friend, and they know their way around it.

I'll try and explain a bit simpler:

Upgrading to VIP2 states that you can unlock the Talent Queue - YOU CAN'T.

Upgrading to VIP3 states that you can unlock the Blacksmith Queue - YOU CAN'T - unless you buy/spend 200 Gems AFTERWARDS.

It's not in the wording at all.

This wording is a bit confusing and I'll bring it up to get it changed. How would something like this be:

"A 3rd slot in the Blacksmith queue will be available for purchase!"

What do you think? Any other suggestion would be welcome as well. There's a lot that goes into games like this and wording can be tricky to convey just exactly what is going on.

I believe that would be the best wording for the VIP upgrade blurb. I was actually planning to upgrade VIP today so that I could add more queues with the assumption that they would be free. I'll likely still upgrade VIP, but at least now I know what to expect when I do so.

I think that would be even more accurate than it already is. When I purchased my VIP statuses I read the notes about what each of the upgrades entailed and I felt I understood that it would "unlock" the additional queues, I just assumed like the rune slots after they were unlocked you would need to spend something additional to be able to utilize it. Ex: For each additional rune slot that becomes unlocked you can activate it by spending credits to open it up to regular use.

Also if you are going to see about updating that blurb on the VIP status I would also include something along the lines of "You will also be able to reset the Heroic Realm once per etc by spending XXX gems". I also fell into the same boat as Gillian with this situation in regards to the Heroic Realm, I assumed incorrectly the cost to reset the Heroic Realm was "0" and was a perk of VIP3 and above. Unfortunately I was incorrect and it took a huge amount of gems. Also there was NO popup that came on screen to alert me that I was about to spend Gems to reset the Heroic Realm. (The pop ups that show up when you are going to speed up your research etc.)

Great feedback. Especially about spending Gems without being alerted. That's a no-no.

And it's also for both the Talent & Blacksmith queues
