Runes

I just wanted to post a little blurb on Runes really quick. When you go to merge two runes together to level one up, when you initially merge it will tell you ____ will merge with ____ an gain some amount of exp.

The name of the first rune is what you will have when the merge finishes. Thinking of it this way is a lot easier than trying to figure out which color is more important than the other color and so on.

Hopefully this helps someone, I had to figure it out on my own :P

Ok, I am wanting to know if there is a list of all the runes, secondly, what they do and lastly what happens when you merge them.. it would be a big help..

For a list of all the runes click the redeem button in the runes window or rune temple and it will show you a list of all the runes and what they do.

When you merge two runes, the rune that is kept will gain exp so that it can level up and become stronger.

Ok, so I had a pile of runes and a crusader rune. When I merged them all together, all the other runes just disappeared and the +20 morale is all that remained but it was there before I merged them. Is there some trick or secret to the Crusader rune?

No trick or secret, same with all runes. Combine enough to level it up and the stat bonus will improve. To view the rune's current exp, lvl, and stat bonus hover the cursor over the rune.

I know when you try to place 2 of the same name rune on a hero in different slots, it doesn't work. It says that you can not have 2. But, when you place the same name rune as you already have on your hero (something like Tactic) over something like Guildmaster, the Tactic covers the Guildmaster. Thus leaving me with 2 seperate Tactic runes on one hero. Is this normal or a glitch?

Runes appear to be split into 2 sub categories, Low Quality and High Quality.

Depending on the batch of runes you get from the temple when you head back to the rune menu and hit combine all the lesser runes will all be absorbed by the High Quality rune and will be used to augment the attribute on that rune.

A good example of this would be with the Mesa and Mountain Runes where Mountain would be the Low or Lesser Quality Rune and Mesa would be the High Quality Rune when you auto-combine them an upgrade to Mesa would be the end result.

The same would apply to say if you had a batch of Low Quality Runes consisting of Tactics, Mountain, and 1 Mesa Rune when you hit Auto-Combine the rune with the highest rating in this case being Mesa again would be the beneficiary.

But then again since there is no official word out there from uCool about how the runes work this is all conjecture.
