Guardian and Master plans
I am a level 50 and keep on getting Guardian plans from Cerberus and Baal. I need some master plans to be able to use the Guardian plans, I have been coming in in the top 3 in every fight. If I drop down to below the top 3 but within the top 10 will I be getting Master plans instead?

I came in on 5th and got no plans at all so that answers my question.
Top 3 only get plans I believe, and the plans are dependent on your level.
Just going by what's said in my guilds chat at baal time.

You need to get the areas open - follow the quests.
ie. to create Guardian's Helmet from the plans you need 50 Jade, 40 Lamps and 30 Frost Spheres.
Well, what Gillian said is true...but there is an important omission:
You need to get and craft the Champion items in order to craft Guardian. You can get them from heroic bosses, but the heroic bosses power goes up ridiculously quickly, making it VERY difficult to get all the champion gear you need in order to make your guardians.

hell i keep getting iron heart plans lmao i wish i could get guardian plansbut my lvl is 64 that maybe the issue i guess.
The plans that drop during cerb/baal for the top 3 are solely dependent on level, meaning if you are level 39 or below you receive hope bringer, 40-49 receives champion, 50-59 guardian, 60-69 ironheart and so on

I got a master plan from Cerberus before I made 50 but since then all I get is Guardian. I guess that 50 is the break point between the two of them.
