Removing ruby lvl 4 or higher ?.?

Ok I got a question here. In Beta we were able to remove any lvl of ruby from our gear. Today when I tried to remove a ruby lvl 4 it took me to the buy gem page :P So what is the deal now with removing rubies? How much it costs to remove a lvl 4? lvl 5? lvl 6? and so on some info would be appreciated

i have a lvl 5 ruby, if I ever come up with 100 gems to take off the level 4 and put the 5 on I will check cost for you, I assume it would be the same

Any gem above lv4 costs a 100 gems to remove it.

I would imagine it was done that way to prevent gems being constantly merged and creating overpowered accounts.

If you want another hero to wear that gem, swap the equipment.

Not an option for me, I only run 1 mage. My other magic attack hero with magic bonus alexa..... can't use magic.

Care to explain? I've never gotten my hands on a gem higher than LvL 3.

this is why I am now waiting to upgrade my gems to 6 or 7 before socketing them, unless they are lvl 3 or lower. 8$ to un socket a gem... lol
