They are aware of this issue, as Dawn has posted on a topic similar to this one (which means by the way that this post should be in that topic so noone has to waste time closing or moving this duplicate topic later). There is a priority order to everything they are doing, naturally something that effects 10 people likely isn't going to get fixed until after things that effect everybody on the server are fixed or at least being worked on.

Also, if you hadn't noticed, several changes were made in game just today, and it appears the chat bug was fixed as well, so they clearly aren't "standing around doing nothing".
