Ok folks, stop asking for it to be fixed. Its not broken. This is the design of the game. Purple heroes can be sainted 10 times. golds can be sainted 15 and mains 20. When you saint you have a chance of recieving something that can not be applied to your hero. IOn fact mages have the most things that can be added that are useless to them, where as all others only have magic attack. Its a risk you take.
You can reset all sanctifications om a hero and lose any bonuses already applied. so if the first one is unusable you can reset it
even if you get to your 7th one and find most are useless you can reset it. This actually makes it balance out the game somewhat. The biggest coiner could receive multiple magic attacks on a non mage and a non coiner could get nothing but useful bonuses.
The fact you can get useless santifications is not a flaw in the game, nor is the failures of sainting - its part of the game and its working correctly. It is allowing smaller players to keep up with some bigger players and slowing down bigger players. Because it happens to all of us eventually.
Its unlikely to chnage ever. SO if you dont like the way the game is designed - don't play it
