The credits that are "received" through online gifts do not register and are not added to your total credit amount when you "obtain" them. The online gifts however continue on to the next stage, but continue to not register credits only.

I have been noticing this, thought at first I had miscounted on my part, but payed close attention this time and know it is not my fault and they are simply not being added in.
