I just bought from the fair a purple medal, what is the use? please help

You shouldn't have bought it without knowing what it is for.

I assume it is for much higher star upgrades. But I do not know at what point it can be used.

This is for use after your stars get to 9. You have to use purple medals to get any higher.

Star levels 1-9 require Blue Medals
-After you acquire a 9 star set, there are 6 "Half-Moon" Slots below it

Half-Moon levels 1-6 require Purple Medals
