I'm sure this doesn't just stop at the arena, but I've noticed that fights I, along with others, lag so badly that skills will go off but no moves will be done. You can't tell when someone dies because they will still be on screen, more than enough one char attacks when another's skill goes off, and this usually ends with the entire fight freezing.
