Are the benefits worth it?

Absolutely, my gold and purple heroes have 5 stars and better runes/equipment, yet my main 10 star hero still doing double the damage then them. Only exception is shay because I'm working on a theory with her

What would be the difference of your character if it had 5 stars compared to 10?

At the very least double, I would make a note of it when you hit 5 stars how much damage your doing, runes, etc. and then compare it to when you get to 10.

If all equipments and runes were the same.. how much more damage do you inflict?

Between a 5 star hero and a 10 star hero w/same runes, there's a huge difference. Command = Physical attack & physical defense, 10 stars for archer = 205 where a 5 star archer is around 110.

Could it be you're doing double damage because of your Driving Blow special skill that your main uses?

Can you post the statistics screen of your main hero? (with no gear or runes, and with complete gear and runes)

Not everyone will go 10 stars. 750 gems for 10 stars is extremely lucky. I know lots of people who have spent thousands of gems and only got 6 or 7 stars maximum on one hero.

Could you tell me, how do I use a Purple Medal? I purchased one a little while ago (I regret it now...) and have no idea how to use it.

You need to have 9 stars on a Hero. Then you no longer use blue medals. You use purple medals to get the moons (equivalent to stars after 9).

Once you get to the "moon" set you cannot fall back down to the actual star set.
9-10 You lose 0 stars if you fail
10-11 You lose 1 star if you fail

ok so this will bring us to the conclusion that 4,8,9 and 10 are safe stops? is that possible?

I finally figured out the effect of stars on attack damage and defense.
It's a lot less than what you'd expect, but there is an increase.

Tell me, was the double damage you mentioned due to the Driving Blow skill?

getting a screen shot of any battle right now is next to impossible, i can't attack anything or anyone without heroes jumping across the screen, shayd is using rhizes skill attack, and then it freezes on last hit sooooo, maybe when Tynon fixes the bugs.

It's pretty sad for 1 week not being able to do anything but cerb/baal, guild wars, and carribean (pending there are no attacks lol).

I've lost 54 medals trying to upgrade stars in one session and was left with less stars than when I started. Happy for your luck.
