Guild host problems

I have a solution that will not lead to abuse. If an alliance does not have a Host then a Vice-Host can assign a new Host. This will solve the problem when a Host leaves without assigning a new Host. It may not help Sol because they do not have a Vice-Host but It will help prevent the problem in the future.

Do I have an agenda YES! will I get hated for this post yes probably...

SoL mil has been gone for 24 days as this post points out early on...that means for three and a half weeks you paid into something that had the potential of failing!

DF quitting was not a rash decision it was a temper tantrum orchestrated by others who were VIP blowing past him in power and his own inability to remain dominant against others who were willing to invest to bridge the gap...

Ok with that said and done...do I agree that their should be a option for a vacant vote yes and I think its a great idea...I know on other games a player goes unchecked in for 7 days or longer a warning email is sent out to all the members of guild...after 14 days the vote for new leadership goes out and its based like a poll on those who are the highest contributors. But as was pointed out with this option a ballooning can occur allowing people to throw money at a problem to fix it.

So do I agree that SoL's issue shoukl be resolved ... regrettably no! DF and I use to compete and he and I talked long and hard about how SoL would have the highest lvl players because he had the most time to invest in recruiting...and I said I would always keep HC's doors open for as long as I could while still holding down a full time job. But at the end of the day he knew Mil had left and was not coming back and he knew that he would have to work twice as hard to compete as the only VH in that guild...can he appoint someone to take his place when he quits no and once again that is a dynamic that should change too but the way the game is set up is actually smart...make a connection in a game that translates to real world so that if by some unfortunate series of events someone in a high ranking position has to make a decision in a fast or in a hurry they can be reached not just in game but in real life.

I wish all of SoL the best of luck but...you were paying to ride a train with no conductor from day 4 its day 31 now you need to learn to pay better attention and not wait until you see the end of the tracks to start trying to figure out a way to save the passengers.

Sol, congratulations on being able to keep the Guild alive. Looking forward to our continued rivalry in Guild Wars (if they ever get fixed, of course).
