lost stars when upgrading

uhmm, who made you the name police? if me, or anyone want to talk about stars and not medals and yet EVERYONE understands what is being discussed, why on earth would it matter what names are being used???

No one made me name police. My post was clearly stated as a suggestion to avoid confusion. As far as I know expressing an opinion is allowed in the forums.

Seriously? I don't upgrade my heroes's stars each day, maybe once very couple weeks, if I feel lucky. I do however buy stars everytime they pop up in the fair or lab, as that, when my stars do fail, I have enough to bring the hero back up to the level it was before the failure. I know a lot of people also doing it this way. You don't need to buy stars for 10 gems a star when you can get away with them for so much cheaper in the fair and arena.

I certainly don't upgrade every day, just when I get a good deal on medals or happen to win some in Lab.

Just recently I had Saffron back up to 3 stars and when I burnt the two medal I saw her go up to 4. Sometime later after a browser refresh ... I noticed she was at 2 again! Soooo very angry. And having gotten some medals in Lab I tried to bump her back up to 3 stars .... and now she is a 1 star, now I am more then irate.

Sometimes I see purple medals, I forget what they are called, but are they used for 6 stars and up?

Ther are called Purple Medals, like you said. They are used for after 9 stars. The give you Moons I think. I have been trying to get there but the best I have been able to do is 7 Stars.

I've had better luck with medals to stars in the wee morning hours. It might be due to less activity or it might mean nothing at all.

1.It does NOT say MEDAL! on the main MENU TAB it says STAR's!
2.Only in the SUB menu does it say Medal! or i should say BLUE MEDAL's!
3.Yes (X) BLUE MEDAL'S are required per next upgrade STAR attempt!

But you are missing everyone's point on this matter!
That is you should not loose any of the Star's that you already have! in you next attempt to gain the next star!
You should only loose the (x) BLUE MEDAL'S that are being used to try to gain the next STAR!

Put me in the camp of "one should NEVER lose stars" anymore so than one should lose equipment or a hero card. YOU BUY the damn thing they are YOURS. Sure, let the star upgrade fail but then stripping away already added stars - that's just naked mean spirited and predatory marketing. Never EVER seen this kind of exploitative screw the user game-play anywhere on the internet.

Exactly why I'm quitting this game. Seriously, devs? Do you ever listen to the users, or only your revenue? Because guess what... a company that cares only about revenue ends up failing. Take for example the mortgage companies that inflated the housing industry until it crashed the entire stock market. Except there won't be any government bailout for you.

I was on a spending plan of $100 a month for this game. Then things like ALWAYS losing stars and 90% of sanctification fails wore me down. I've started with 54 blue medals before, and wound up with less stars on my adamanti than when I started. That is just plain ridiculous. Making it hard so you can make money is reasonable, making it impossible doesn't make any sense. Now I won't spend any money on the game until they fix some of these problems.
