Stats question...

Simple question, was wondering if anyone knows:

Does break stat help against block AND dodge, or block only as it specifies "Ensure your hero is not blocked by the enemy"

Click Heroes -> click on your main hero and pull up the stats.

All the stats in the right column are counters for everything in the left column and vise-versa.

Physical Attack -> Physical Defense
Skill Attack -> Skill Defense
Mage Attack -> Mage Defense
Critical -> Resilience
Hit Rating -> Dodge
Break -> Block

So to answer your question.. Break helps you prevent the enemy from blocking. Hit Rating will help you prevent the enemy from dodging (when you see "miss" all the time). In bosses, heroic realm & quests they dodge a lot more than they block so a high Hit Rating rune is a good counter for that.
