BUG - "Special" characters in HTML/ASCII Character Set bung up Character Names & Play
When I created my account on server 30 - Rains of Chak, I used an apostrophe in my name and also accidentally entered a backspace (e.g. "Le'\Croix"). The client took it fine and sent to server and created the character. But this causes HAVOC with the whisper feature of chat and puts in HTML/WEB text escape sequences when people try to click my link in guild chat to whisper me (e.g. " La\'Croix" - the escaped HTML version of the apostophie). But your game client does not know how to parse this text string and consequently no one can whisper me since the game thinks my name is literally La\'Croix rather than La'\Croix.
If the server can not handle special ASCII/HTML characters is should reject them and ask the user to use different characters from the permitted character set (spell them out for us).
To make the problem worse. Your administrator hand edited my name to just Croix (per my request). And now the whisper feature works fine but this causes ALL Labyrinth play to lock up forever in the "Loading Battle..." sequence anytime I enter a trap/monster square. Examining the screen I can see that it never get to load the player vs monster title and its all probably caused by this silly name change where your server has duplicated all this data all over the software system (a classic SW Engineering Bug of duplication of data and not using normal database forms).
So all labyrinth game play that involves a monster/trap square is not functional and kicks me out after I refresh to break the lock up (and lose all scores, stamina etc).
Please FIX IT. This is basic software design folks...
